It’s ok Indian, everybody does it according to BelieveItOrNot so it’s perfectly fine. Hopefully the sarcasm of my statement is understood.

I predicted that schools would recruit the players. Smart move but bad timing. I guarantee that you can find a scandal on every school in the state. Want to bet? Even good ole private school USJ got caught up in a scam that got forced them to vacate a Baseball Championship.  True it's not ok, I don't condone cheating but all I say is that you can't punish kids that had nothing to do with it.

You have moved the goalpost on every argument you have tried to use to justify Prep. Literally no one on here is saying the Prep kids need to be punished. That's something you have made up.

Also your generalizations like "I guarantee that you can find a scandal on every school in the state" make it worse. If you're going to make statements like that, back it up since its a "guarantee".

Someone earlier called this a train wreck. I agree. The only thing I would add is that it is a slow motion train wreck that just about everyone knew was happening and DID NOTHING about it. No way does a school have people that are not certified to teach without the governing body having knowledge of the situation. Awful!! I do feel bad for the kids but the kids represent the school, the community and the school system. You can't tell me the school, the community and the school system did not know the kids were being  sent to a building where rules were not being followed and the people in the building were not qualified to teach. THIS SCHOOL, COMMUNITY AND SYSTEM SHOULD NOT BE PARTICIPATING IN THE STATE TOURNAMENT.

I was wondering why I haven't heard anything about Tennessee Temple.  I had no idea that they closed.  I remember the Skogan brothers.  They were good Basketball players.  I noticed Chattanooga Prep beat Bradley and other bigger schools.  I also noticed Hillsboro drilled them by 30. My alma mater Maryville has to play Hillsboro today.

Saw this on X earlier and thought it was pretty appropriate for what’s happening this week.

With 13.8% proficiency in math and only 26.1% proficiency overall, how could anyone seriously believe this wasn't just a sports program disguised as a school.  Did math class only consist of running, dribbling, shooting, and counting by two's and three's?

I guess they did learn all about the perils of domestic assault and sexual exploitation of a minor, solicitation and kidnapping?

The truth always comes out. And unfortunately, innocent kids are typically messed over by the "adults." Working in a school myself, I cannot fathom how a miss of this magnitude wasn't caught by someone sooner.

Just saw a picture where the wife beater was still coaching the team too. This place has ZERO integrity or morals.

He has a twin I'm sure. So it could have been him, unless you saw a pic of both of them there

    • Take your own advice Mr. Bill.  Memphis should stay out of the national news if it doesn't want people knowing about their "business."  SP's classes of '25, 26 and 27 contributed as well.  At the beginning of the season, we weren't sure if SP could make it out of the 2nd or 1st round in 2024 due to only 2 or 3 seniors only 1 of which played much.  We were extremely proud of that 2024 team for what they accomplished between game 1 and game 15.
