I don't think so!!! I believe they are it. Maplewood in the 70's had (2) 10-0s with a 9-1 in between but I know of no others. Stratford under Spears had 2 good back to back years and Overton had some good runs in the 70s.

This has got to be one of the best threads going. I have enjoyed going down memory lane. I had the pleasure of playing for Gerald Johnson (basketball) in the late 70's at Maplewood. Even though I came through after busing, there were still some neighborhood schools left and some great rivalries.

What coaches have been inducted into the Nashville High School Coaches Hall of Fame? (I think that is the organization) It's the one at the Coca Cola Banquet. I know Coach Jerry Pigue was this year's person. If possible, give out the list please.

 

P.S. Tell shadow we have a bag of cheetos for him for christmas to use now that he "has more time on his hands"!! :confused:

What about Leroy Hollis at Glencliff? Was he at any other schools before or after Glencliff?

Leroy Hollis was only at Glencliff in all capacities; he passed away a couple of years ago

There have been 4 QB (that I know of) that actually played the position on Sunday. Another former QB played another position. Can you name these 5 former NIL prep stars. This is a tough one!!!!!

The first one that comes to mind is Joe Gilliam. I would say Bill Wade. Kent Austin would be the third (if you consider BA as in the NIL).

Gilliam and Wade are correct.......Austin is not NIL. There are 3 more.......this is a tough one!!!!!

What about Jeff Woodcock, QB from Maplewood? Did he play pro, as a defensive back, for a little while?

Don't think he played QB at the NFL level, maybe as a DB.
