high school option football

I will try to get on your site tomorrow. I played football with someone from Whitwell at Maryville College. You might know him.

The I-Bone option offense like Nebraska uses is great for most high school football teams that are willing to drill each play 1000's of times. Contray to popular belief most of the line blocks are angle or chop blocks where you don't have to blow people off the line. You need an above average athlete at QB that is smart and a great athlete as your TB. The fullback needs to be able to block, have average speed and catch the ball out of the backfield. If you can fake the dive to the FB and then throw to him over the middle 2X per game everyone will stay honest and you should be very successful on offense.

CoachDG, Check out the discussion boards at www.megaclinic.com . There are coaches that will send tapes, etc. if you request them, or they will let you know where to find them.

Are there any option web sites that you can preview or order info. The wish bone site previously mentioned on this thread was great, but I'm looking for more wide open sets to run the option. Any info on sites would be a great help.

i thought there was a spread option section on that website??? if not, you can go to google or yahoo and find 1,000's of sites to choose from.

Hey guys, there is a very good article about the option at the megaclinic.com website. I printed it off and I am going to put it in my playbook. I have a question for everyone here about the option: What is your favorite option? Mine is the trap option.
