I agree with ya on that one. Coach Wright at Gp is a very good coach. He gets the most out of his guys and works them hard. He knows his basketball. Coach Moore at Seymour is a very good coach also. He's coaching the boys AND girls and his girls are in the run for a state title. How many coaches can do that?

Mike Craig has always been a great coach at Waverly Central. He has been fortunate to have a great assistant Stephen Webb and also Kevin Rawlings has done a great job as assistant. I have been watching Waverly since I was young and in the previous 4-5 years cant remember Waverly being at the bottom of their District. Also made the final 4 in State Finals in 1998.

I am a bit partial, I guess, but I would have to go with Mike Roller for my own school, Lipscomb.

Not much can not be said by seeing his win record (he holds the 2nd longest streak of wins in high school with 125 straight wins). He works hard, loves his basketball teams, and more importantly is a hardworking indiviual who loves the Lord. I really can't say more than that.

Now what people really miss is that Coach Roller has a excellent set of Asst. Coaches also which has included Coach Richie Pickens (probably the most mean-butt JV Coach I have ever seen.. and I mean that in a good way), Coach Kertsweiter (or as we call him Coach K) and Coach Bobby Moore. Coach Roller would be the first to say he doesn't make every call that is on the floor and is proud to have these guys working with him.

I really belive that Mike Roller is the best coach in AA. Coach Roller teaches kids how to play the game and they go out every night and perform. I have not seen a lipscomb game yet when the kids gave in. I thik caoch Roller is probably the best coach in the state in any classification.

Mike Roller, in my opinion is the best coach in the state in any classification. I reaalize there are many, many gifted coaches here in Tn. and not taking anything away from any of them but when I look at all the intangibles he is the guy I want coaching my team. He gets more out of his players than any coach I have seen. Not only does he coach but he treats his guys like they should be treated. Yes, he is tough on them and expects alot but what great coaches don't. If I have one game for all the marbles and have to find a coach he's my guy.

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
