I think if the Cookeville Cavs have as much heart as they did last year to match their talent i think they could be one of the top teams.

redthunder6, you did an excellent job in listing the top 5a teams for this yr. great job. i'm picking jeff to win it all this yr. they have all returning skill players; four of these skill players have been starters since their soph yr (clement, qb, houston, rb, jennings, rb, and brown, wr). in addition, they have a total of 15 starters returning (7 offense, 8 defense) that lost to dobyns bennett in the qtr finals last yr 26-15; the score was 16-15 at half and remained that way until about half-way into the 4th qtr.

bring jefferson county down to the boro and any of the big 3(oakland,riverdale,blackman) will expose them as the frauds they are.

Lincoln county, Franklin county and Cookeville should all have a shot at being a top 10 team. All of these teams have a good talent base and good coaches. Look for all these teams to slip up on someone this year.

It's cool man. Trying to pick nine teams to put in a poll out of 5A is really hard. Really good job actually. You got the traditional powerhouses from all three grand regions. Franklin really just put itself on the map last year. After this next season though, I have a feeling people won't forget about the Rebs.
