lincoln county gets no respect

the tennessean printed in the top ten midstate poll that " is lincoln county invincible or is region 3-5a just that weak". well the truth is region 3-5a is weak but lc is that good. lc has one the best teams in the state. they are loaded on offense and defense. most of the seniors have been playin since they were sophmores, so they are very experienced. lc and coach thompson havent got respect all year. they took out all the murfreesboro teams, took out franklin, heck they have scored 339 points to 66 of the opponents. they have shut out a few teams so they are one of the teams to beat this year. dont get me wrong, franklin, riverdale, and coffee county are good teams, but lc took them out. i mean we held the state's leadin rusher to hardly any yards. all im sayin is lc should get more respect because they are one of the best teams in the state. and i feel sorry for warren county this friday. GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lc may be ranked no. 1 in the ap polls but on coach t polls they are no.2 behind germantown who are 8-1 . besides the tennessean should not have said that our region is weak. it makes it sound like lc is weak and there are not.

You're wrong! LC gets more respect than most! If you're basing this post on a newspaper article, you're crazy! Who cares about headlines, people are going to write what sells, not what's true most of the time!

We at Oakland have nothing but respect for the powerhouse called Lincoln County. Just keep letting them doubt you, and keep rollin those wins. They will become forced to give you some respect.

Who cares what the Tennessean thinks? 90% of the posters on here will tell you that since the Titan's came to town, their coverage of high school football has gone to pot. It is such a shame too, high school is the level of football where the athletes play it for the love of the game, not the attention and endorsements that the pro's do these days. Right now, there is only one article about the Falcons that I would really care about seeing, and that is one that says they are the 2003 5-A State Champs. Let the Tennessean ignore us, that is just food to make the team more determined to earn there recognition.

I agree about the coverage of most high school games in the Tennessean has gone down hill. Of course, all the favorites get the pics and the press. I expect to see teams from Nashville get more than other local teams, but many fan favorites get ignored that are in the Middle Tn coverage area.. That is why I don't subscribe to the TN anymore.

I think they've just run out of things to say about us, so they decided to agitate us a little. Hey - they've had us at #2 behind MBA for several weeks now...I see no disrespect in that. Now, if they ranked us in the bottom five, THAT would be disrespect. Riverdale hasn't been in the top ten since they lost to Dickson County - THAT's disrespect.

The Falcons are Number 2 behind Dobyns Bennett, not Germantown, on the coacht poll. That obviously will change the next time CoachT resets the poll.

I believe he is referring to the CoachT.com Prep Power Poll by Donavan Stewart which has D-B as #1. The new poll comes out in the morning at 8AM so we'll see if there are any changes then. And, no, fans don't normally call people idiots around here, especially if they expect to be taken seriously in the future.
