Wes I hope to see you in Brentwood friday night. I'm daggum excited as well as the rest of the area should be as well. It's gonna be a battle.

I lament the fact that I can't make it to the game. I have to videotape a UT swim meet at 9 AM saturday, and the turnaround would be too much. Cheer extra loud to make up for me!

My official Brentwood Academy-MBA prediction:

Montgomery Bell Academy 24, Brentwood Academy 14

I have never picked against BA in my life until now. To be honest, I know that the Eagles can win this game, but I believe MBA is the better team and has the potential to be very explosive. While I have every hope that BA can contain Fisher, Koban, and the receivers, practicality tells me that it will be very hard to do.

BA players: PROVE ME WRONG!!! Take my words to heart and show me that I'm an idiot for picking against you. I won't be able to make it back to Brentwood, but I'll be pulling for you with everything I have and will be receiving frequent updates via telephone. Good luck and BEAT MBA!!!

BA will be without its best running back this week... Theo Townsend broke his thumb against Lone Oak two weeks ago and hasn't been able to play since... not having him in the lineup is huge... not that Tyree Ford isn't a capable backup, but this is MBA we're talking about... not crappy Baylor... MBA rolls here...

Are you his coach, or his doctor? If so, you are breaking the law in posting this. If you are simply speculating, you may be surprised come Friday.

Let's see:

Team ranked nowhere nationally vs. number 9 team in the nation.

Rematch of a blowout Clinic Bowl last season. MBA got most players back, BA had 6 DI players graduate.

BA's only loss came to a team that MBA beat.

MBA has beaten most common opponents by more than BA has.

Even BA's biggest fan picks MBA to win.

Naturally, I pick Brentwood Academy to win! 21-17.
