If the coaches want him to put in the endzone, believe me he can !!!!!!!!

That is not true. Every coach wants their kicker to put it in the endzone if he can. That means the offense starts on the 20. Do MC's coaches believe that their kickoff cover team is good enough for him to (in best case senario) kick it to the one inch line and stop the return man before he gets to the 20? It can't be done consistently. Especially not in the playoffs. Give those Knoxville teams the opportunity to return a kickoff and watch them show off their speed as they go up the sideline.

Smith can Put it in the endzone when told to. Problem is not him the coaches normally have him kick it short or squib it to prevent a return. Macon has problems covering kicks. He put some out of the EndZone vs Howard after a few long returns when they were kicking short.

BELIEVE ME 419, SMITH CAN PUT THAT FOOTBALL ANYWHERE HE WANTS TOO, HE JUST KICKED A 76 YARDER , PUNT FRIDAY NIGHT AGAINST HOWARD. HE DOESNT HAVE A WEAK LEG AT ALL. AND HE HAS ALSO KICKED SEVERAL OUT THE BACK OF THE END ZONE THIS YEAR. THE BOY CAN KICK THE BALL, TRUST ME. AND WHERE EVER THE BALL ENDS UP, IS WHERE IT WAS SUPPOSE TO GO. ;)

GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

419, i played football with smith last year. his leg is deffinately not weak by no means. in practice, after kicking all day, he was put on the spot to keep the team from running by making every kick, no matter where it was spotted. he nailed a 65 yarder with room to spare. and every kickoff i have seen has went in the endzone.

I'm not trying to downgrade the boy. He's got great leg strength but it doesn't show up on kickoffs. I've seen him hit from 50 in warmups. But a 65 yarder with room to spare? Come On. The state record is 63 set by Franklin Co and UT All American kicker Jeff Hall. A 65 yarder you say? This kid must be going to the league straight out of high school. He's a good kicker and all but you guys are stretching the truth. And you really can't tell now if he's a great kicker yet because kicking to run an extra sprint isn't the same as kicking just for the right to play the next week. The only thing that I'm saying is that he's untested when it matters. Time will tell. Oh, his leg might look stronger if he didn't kick so much in warmups. The kid kicks for like an hour. Maybe that tires out his leg.

Well I hope his leg's better than me. I've never kicked a ball a day in my life. I played Tackle in high school. I think he's a great kicker. He better be because if he doesn't hit it good and it lands in the hands of one of those 4.3 speed demons from Knoxville if ya'll make it to them you'll see what they can do with it. He better kick it out the back of the endzone every kickoff. Ya'll might only have to kickoff one time anyway.

WELL, SOMETIMES ITS BETTER TO KICK IT HIGH AND SHORT TO GIVE YOUR MEN TIME TO COVER THE BALL, THAN TO KICK TO ONE OF THOSE 4.3 RUNNERS AND HAVE THEM TO RUN IT BACK ON YOU, WONDER IF THATS WHY HE KICKS IT SHORT??? IF YOU NOTICED WHEN IT WAS KICKED SHORT THEY NORMALLY DID NOT ADVANCE THE BALL FROM WHERE IT WAS KICKED AND SOMETIMES THEY EVEN LOST YARDAGE ON THE RETURNS (THE OTHER TEAMS) THE BOY HAS KICKED IT LONG AND KICKED IT SHORT , AND WHERE THE COACHES WANTED IT TO BE KICKED I THINK. ITS WORKED OUT GOOD SO FAR, DONT YA THINK. ;) AND AS FAR AS THE 4.3 RUNNERS FROM KNOXVILLE, WE'LL HANDLE THAT WHEN THE TIME COMES....ONE FRIDAY NIGHT AT A TIME...THE TIGERS ARE FOCUSED AND GOING AT IT ONE GAME AT A TIME. ONE THING IS FOR SURE, WHERE EVER #14 IS TOLD TO PUT THE BALL, THATS WHERE IT WILL BE. :D

Well, TC is gone and their opponent comes down off of their mountain to climb Macon Co's ridge. Macon, beware........this bunch of Jackets is wanting to knock off all the region 4 teams that stand in their way. TC has already fallen to their running attack. Will the Tigers be next? 71fan, is that Tiger DEFENSE stingy enough to hold them to a minimum amount of yards and keep them off the scoreboard? Home field will most definately be an advantage. Jae, keep that band rootin' and tootin' their horns this week, and speaking of horns............buck? Should I dare ask where that great sound of yours came from? Say it ain't so buck. And miss KITTY, are you going to be able to make it this week? The boys in blue really need you! Good luck Tigers! And I hope we will see you next week, so we can finish what we tried to tell you when you came to our house!

 (praying)

(There's gonna be a "night chicken" pluckin' in Carthage this week!!!)
