Who are some of the best h.s. assistants?

David Clark is by far the best middle school assistant. He coaches at Maryville Middle School. Only two losses in the past three years.

I would have to say the best assistant coach in Tennessee would have to be Defensive coach for Ooltewah, Jim Davis. This guy is a defensive genius! If he wanted he could definately coach college or even pro! If he had the personal, he could be awesome. He has donewonders with the Owls defense.

I dunno. I would say he is...at least at Boyd when Robert retires. But I really couldn't say.

Larry Ricker of South Greene has one of the best coaching staffs in the state behind him. Shawn Jones as the assistant. He is 2-0 as head coach filling in for Ricker in his 2 absences. Adam Hansel as offensive coordinator. Neal Ricker has the control over D. Mike Neas (A former pro) and Tony King help with the line. Robbie Cordwell works with special teams.

Shawn is great, Neal is great to get the ball where he wants it, Adam works the boys and is very hard on them, but these guys all playing under Coach Larry Neal at one time, especially Adam Hansel going all state, really shows the communion and the ability to work as a team. It's what makes them so great, but now they are gone.

coach nathan buice from morristowno west. played at Parkview in GA for High School, then played at Carson Newman. Was one of my teachers 2nd semester...Great man, and from what i hear, a great coach

Brentwood has a couple assistants with good experience. Jack Daniels-OC- has been around a while but not as long as the 39 years assistant Tom Crawford has.

Of course who knows what all the other assistants are doing, and if they are any good or not? This is a straight "homer" poll, or else it is a way to get people griping about their coaches. That being said, I like all Coah Sexton's (of Scott Highlanders) staff. Bill Hall has already been mentioned, there is Keith Shannon, (who have already been successful head coaches) and Tony Zachary, who is the master motivator, and now Davey Gillam is on board, who seems to be a genius at "x's and o's".
