If your not blaming the loss on the band then why even bring it up again. The band had no factor in who won or lost the game. I think its time for yall to quit whinning and move on. Football is just a game. It's not like its the end of the world. There are a whole lot more important things out there than this.

It is.

Thriller..Your from Huntingdon so you can't be all bad. Let me ask you this. Why do you get on here?? To be condensending to your own side? To be the board monitor? Your not so get over yourself!!! I get on here to cut up and have fun with our opponents fans as I'm sure they do with us. NOBODY should be taking any of this stuff seriously, If they do then they are the idiots. :D

Well I figure I need to throw my two cents back in this pot. Believe it or not people, it is possible for Huntington to have a bad game no matter what anybody says. You people act as though Huntington is the greatest single team ever assembled. 72' Dolphins? Nothing compared to Huntington. Walter Payton? Nothing compared to Terrance Bell. I'm just joking about some of this stuff but seriously are they that amazing? If they are, why aren't they number 1 on the front page of Coach T? I know there is a great chance of Lewis County losing Friday night and I would absolutely bet all my money on Huntington, but I would always have that uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach. Don't underestimate this Panther team people. They are tough and I guarantee they will make this game a lot tougher on Huntington than anybody thinks.

lol.. most true football fans probably couldnt tell you.. not taking away from the band.. they provide a good atmosphere.. but as a football fan i dont pay admission to watch the halftime show or listen to the band.. no offense.. the band is there for the same reasons, but they are playing music while watching the game .. i find it amusing that fans and players were doggin the LC band for playing while they were on offense.. this isnt golf.. if someone told me i was being classless by yelling while the opposing team was on offense i'd laugh in their face. besides i dont know many high school bands that are big enough to possibly drown out a cadence.. especially in rural high school football stadiums

LOL. Goodness. Well, I'll first have to echo the remarks of darkglow: I enjoy mature sports talk without all the juvenile banter. However, I, along with DonHaney, do welcome intellectual debate.

Furthermore, everything said on here by fans (especially those whose names indicate their loyalty) is a direct reflection of the school, its athletic department, its supporters, and the mentality of the community as a whole. (I.e. people generally take what they read seriously.) And I'm not pointing my finger at anyone, but we all need to think about it before we post something that will give off the wrong impression.

It all goes back to TheBoredGuy's signature: Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat.

p.s. I'm not "condescending to my own side." I've been a member of this site for more than two years, and I defend the blue and gold. You've been a member for three days.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
