Kellen Pickel from Bradley and Josh Jenkins from Rhea County can pop em from NBA range. Newsome from ooltewah can stroke pretty good , and Jajuan Smith from Mcminn County has a great jumper from DEEP!!!

Here is a new name for the board, Noel Smith. Junior guard for Cheatham County. Noel is a small guy but finds a way to score, especially from behind the arc. You'lll see him put up some big numbers for his team this year and next.

Pickett County's Joseph Bailey went 9 for 9 in three pointers in the first three quarters against Unaka, then had one deflected and then missed one. The first 7 were in the first quarter. He's got to be the leader for "A" Mr. Basketball. He's scored 27,31,16,30,36 against 5 very good teams. He's getting looks from Division I schools, so I am sure he won't settle for Div. II

Michael Newsome of Ooltewah... If he played with the same freedom and energy he can he could hit for 30 a night... hes good from anywhere within 30 feet(seemingly) and if he gets his shot going he helps make the Owls something else...

I haven't seen him play in couple years but when he played for the Tennessee Breakers in AAU Marshall Bryan could shoot the the lights out. Probably has the best range of any player I had seen at that time. Glad to hear he is playing ball again. Good luck Marshall!

There is no one in the State that can shoot long range like Josh Jenkins of Rhea County.formerly with Science Hill. He shoots most of his threes at 26 feet and even beyond. I seen him hit 5 straight bombs in the District tournament last year in the first quarter alone. Kellen Pickle is the next best from the range Jenkins shoots from.

The best shooters in the uppercumberland are Joseph Bailey, Alan Asberry, Brandon Matthews,and the Hennigan kid from Cookeville...Bailey and Asberry are probably the two top guards in this area.
