Sevier had somewhat of an off night. But the refs sure didnt help, I'm sorry but brooke johnson is one of the dirtiest players ive ever seen, and they didnt call anything. Everytime down the court she was going over the back, charging, elbowing. I'm not making an excuse for sevier losing but she really does play like she should be in the wwe, im surprised they werent scouting her. Thats alright congrats to seymour, but just remember you have to come to our house this time.

Didn't see the game but sounds like Brooke Johnsone is the type of player who's willing to do whatever she has to for her team to win. Thats a sign of a great player!

Criticizing the referee's is OK but don't cut her down for playing as physical as the refs would allow!

Good Luck to both teams in their Postseasons!!

You obviously were not watching the same ballgame as everyone else. Brooke is probably one of the most fair ball players out there. She is the one that is always on the receiving end of cheap shots. As in, Kayla Russell trying to trip her every time down the floor or running by her and elbowing her every chance she got. Brooke, showing class, never lost her cool and would just play her game. She plays night end and night out with double and triple teams on her and people pushing and shoving her and never loses her cool. Seymour is a good team and so is Sevier County. If some of the girls from Sevierville were on the receiving end of what they were doing last night, they would have lost their cool and things would have been worse. Any body with ANY KNOWLEDGE of basketball could see what happened last night. Seymour was ready to play and did not play scared of Sevier County as they have in the past. As the paper said, Sevier County did not have an answer for Brooke. You cannot blame it on refs or anybody else, Seymour just simply beat Sevier Co. B)

Every time I've ever seen Johnson play, she looks almost like she's not aggresive enough. You expect me to believe she's a dirty player due to what happened at SC?

And by the way, when you're 6-3 it's gonna look like you're over the back all the time. Not a lot of girls in this area can match that size.

This may be the first place that I have EVER seen Brooke Johnson refered to as a dirty or physical player. I wish I could have seen the game - especially if Brooke was taking it to them!!! Way to go Lady Eagles... your teams best quality has always been your chemistry. Stay close, stay hungary and good things are going to happen. Love you much!!!

IF ANYONE THAT IS NOT A BIASED PARENT HAS SEEN BROOKE PLAY THEY KNOW THE FACTS. SHE IS AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN TOO NICE OF A PLAYER. THERE IS NOT ONE MEAN PERSON ON THE SEYMOUR TEAM. SOMETIMES AS A PARENT IT GETS A LITTLE FRUSTRATING. HOWEVER SOME OF THE DISPAYS BY A PLAYER ON THE OTHER TEAM MAKE ME VERY PROWD OF THESE YOUNG LADIES.

    • 20 but had 5-6 not dressed every game. It went down towards the end due to injuries and obviously only 15 got to dress for the state tournament. Then, they only lost 2 from this year and gain 8 from the middle school for next year
    • As somebody mentioned before, this is going to result in a massive lawsuit, can you imagine professional "educators" actually having the conversation about getting "the bad kids" out of the high school?  And the head coach asking directly to change grades, gets turned down, comes back again and gets it approved?  This is unbelievable.  In addition to the lawsuit, the state Department of Education is going to come down extremely hard on this.  WYSH is on the war path.  There could be dozens more lose their jobs by the time this is over.  And yeah the real shame is the kids being affected that literally had nothing to do with this and actually worked hard to earn their grades.
    • I've heard Powell from someone who talked to him. I saw the kid two days ago and I should of pulled over and talked with him and wished him well where ever he goes. It will be a ale of a loss for us because I don't believe we have anyone in the stable good as him from what I seen in the spring.
    • I would have to think that the firing of the 2 teachers is just the beginning of future moves.  If not, it is woefully short.  If the AC school board thinks that the damage is just limited to Clinton, they are sadly mistaken.  Any outsider would view the whole school system as suspect, and rightly so.
    • Yeah. AC brass walked in to the building at Clinton and suggested that the principal start changing grades.  Honesty, the notion that anybody at AC was involved is just idiocy.  The ones who are hurt most are the kids who weren't involved in the cheating, but still are being penalized by college admission decisions and scholarship consideration simply because they went to a school that was involved in such a scandal.
