I was just wondering, Rockwood has been to State 5 of the last 6 years, how many State Championships have they won and what is their won loss record at State.

As we pack for Memphis, I am hoping everyone gets there safely. I am starting to get excited, but I sure am dreading the drive. To our friends from Unaka, all I can say is start early!!!!

 

Rockwood has had a pretty good season as evidenced by this thread. I would like to personally thank extremeloco for being on his best behavior and not getting this thread locked up the way he did those 13 others! 32 pages, close to 500 posts, almost 11,000 views, methink Rockwood likes their baseball!

 

To the Rockwood players - Good luck, play well, and play hard like you want the win.

fastman, our record at state has not been the best and we have never won a state championship in baseball. Last year, we were the best single A PUBLIC SCHOOL in the state (kinda champs, lol). Hopefully, this year, we can change some of that and bring back some hardware.

This season will be Rockwood's 5th trip to the state tournament in six years. Unfortunately for Rockwood, they are 2-8 overall in the tourney and have finished 3rd, 4th twice and tied for 5th so far.

 

The 2 wins:

1999 Upperman

2003 Friendship Christian Academy

 

The Losses:

1999: USJ & Franklin Road Academy

2000: Franklin Road Academy & Charleston

2001: Charleston & Franklin Road Academy

2003: Goodpasture twice
