johnnyboy
Because junkie had Jefferson County as the #3 ranked 4A team. He edited because I pointed out to him that Jeff. Co. was a 5a team. He added Rhea County at #3.

MLREB
#1 Mo'West#2 Knox Central #3 Rhea County #4 Cleveland #5 Maryville That's just the way it is !!! Good one Billy Goat. I have news for all those Maryville haters. Maryville is freaken loaded and will be for a minimum of the next three years. The best thing that could happen to the 4A teams in East Tennessee is that Maryville moves to 5A and soon. Morristown West the Best in E TN 4A..................LOL. They lost a load of tallent from a team that was fortunate to beat Maryville on their home field in the semis. They are well coached so I expect them to be in the picture by the end of the year. By the way last year was a down year for Maryville in comparison to the previous two years and the next three. Central????....lost wayyyyyyyy too much and it may be just too much to ask for a more mature Helton to carry this team on his shoulders. Cleveland????...let's just say bye bye Lavonte Barber. Rhea County..............not in this lifetime. Edited March 31, 2004 by MLREB

bud
I agree. Morristown West lost alot. I just don't see how they can be a top 5 team again. Maybe they will though.

CoachT junkie
This could be the year Mo'West returns to the top after it was one win away from the Gold Ball in '03. Woods is stacked at running back, wide receiver and defensive back. Darius Ewing and Bradley James could be the best one-two punch in the state. There may be some concern over John Minnich at quarterback, but the running game should make life easier for the senior. Besides, rock-solid Dylan Stevens will take care of Minnich's backside. The offensive line and front seven on defense rank among 4A's best. In conclusion, look for Mo'West to dominate East Tennessee this year and make another apperance in the Boro. RebelRaider
Mo West had their chance at the championship last year when they got lucky and beat maryville in the semis, but they blew it with a 21-0 loss in the Blue Cross Bowl. Their time has passed, and this year maryville will return as champions just like it should have been last year. Go Rebels.
transplant
Yeah everything Morristown West has accomplished in the past few years can be attributed to luck. They need to change their nickname to the Fighting Irish or something. Maybe they can get lucky again next year.
