Just stop naming players and inserting your own little "adjectives" to describe them.

Awwwwww............poor little cocky Mustang fans don't know what to do now with 2 losses in a season and the first realization that a guaranteed repeat isn't going to be as easy as they first thought it was.

Maybe you don't know what to do with 2 losses, but we realize this is the regular season and not the playoffs. The first time that Huntingdon went to the championship game we had 4 losses during the regular season.

The game last night showed once again we do have some weaknesses. However, does Milan feel confident enough with the win to believe that Huntingdon can't beat them? I noticed a lot more mistakes on Huntingdon's side than I did Milan's.

Granted if Huntingdon doesn't play better than they did last night there won't be a worry of a rematch with Milan or Westview.

The bad thing about talking trash and predicting blowouts is you have to back it up or you look pretty foolish.

What all you Huntington people forgot is Milan is Milan. They may be a little down this year, but you still have to go out there and beat them. And a "little down" for Milan is still better than a lot of teams.

Congrats to the Dawgs on a big W

ok, guess I owe a clarification on my original post.

I thought it was obvious that I was speaking to one person and one person only. It was directed and intended for this one person only. Meant to be a "One-on-One", that's all. Anyone who interpreted it as anything else, is mistaken. However I do realize, that since it was posted on a public forum, that anyone has the right to read it and comment on it. I have no problem with that. The "problem" I have with this one person is, that for the last two years, he has constantly made derogatory posts about the Huntingdon team, and most importantly about particular players. I'm sure that most of you realize that a big majority of the so-called "controversial" posters on coachT, are just fantasy characters made up by someone that has created a different log-in account. They have no malicious intent or purpose. Unfortunately, in this person's case, that is not true. Anyone who has kept up with this board and especially Huntingdon sports will know that what I'm saying is true. He has a genuine problem facing reality that his team was beaten by a better team last year. I am afraid that this is a serious, unhealthy situation for this young man. He is having a very difficult time coping with this one loss in his life.

Now, for the rest of you who dislike Huntingdon, feel free to "rip 'em apart". After all, they did lose a football game last night. (albeit rather meaningless in the whole scheme of things, football included). All I would ask is that you "talk bad about them" as a TEAM, not as individuals. Who knows, some of you may have the privelege of having sons or daughters, that play sports, some day. They might even be fortunate enough to win a State Championship, and I can't even begin to tell you how proud that will make you. But even if they don't, I promise you, you will not enjoy seeing their name mentioned on a message board, being "run down" by someone from another school or town, who has no clue as to the character of your child.

Thanks.

And yes, for those of you outside Huntingdon who don't know, I am a Psychiatrist.

You can find me in the Huntingdon Yellow Pages under:

Psychiatrist/Specialist/Anger Management/Sports

I am the only listing.

Googd game as always. Why did Huntingdon stop giving the ball to Donald? Passed way too much. Just because they have done better passing this year, looks like they sometimes forget what always has gotten them the job done, and that is running the ball. When its not broke don't go trying to fix it. We see that the defense is not very good. A long way to go. We shall see if the old saying "Offense wins games, defense wins championships" holds true.

Big win for Milan. Big loss for Huntingdon. A couple of things good point to Huntingdons loss, bad defense and bad play calling, but I wonder if part of the problem with the two defeats this year can be blamed on the fact that everyone assumed that going in to this year Huntingdon was going to repeat as state champions. You can be too confident, which can affect how you prepare. I'm not saying they have not worked hard. I'm saying that when you win the state as easy as they did and are suppose to have better talent back, sometimes you forget how you got to the top to begin with. Pressure is another key. Yhe pressure that was on this group of kids coming into the season was huge. When you hear every day by the community that tou are expected to repeat, a huge amount of pressure is placed on you. Right now, the players and the coaches are not handling the pressure. My advice, see what needs to be fixed and try to fix it, and just relax a little and have fun playing the game.

You called it 9yr.oldchamps.

I am disappointed, but Milan played smart, with grit and determination.

Hope to see you again.

This was a game between two great teams, two great coaching staffs and there could only be one winner.

Last weeks loss to Trenton, at home, on homecoming, was embarrasing to this program and they came out this week with the intensity you expect out of a Milan coached team.

I think the difference in Milan right now is that the coaching staff is starting to figure out the Milan offense and what makes it work best. These coaches basically had West, Rod, Daylan,Beasley and Goff for 3 straight years running the offense and just knew what to do without thinking too much about it. I thought we could have won the JCM game if Blount would have kept getting the ball because he was getting 5 yds. per carry and we went away from that but we found it last night and it gave Daylan some much needed rest. Also, Eric Coleman #25 stepped up with some big carries to give Daylan a break. Daylan was still fresh at the end of the game and I"ve never seen that before. The O Line finally started coming off the line with a purpose and that was the difference in the game.

Differece in the game. Huntingdon got whipped up front on both sides. Butler goes down and they're playing with a makeshift line on offense. You put 28 pts on milan at milan you should win. You're not going to score 45 every game. heck folks, we got out played by a determined bulldog team, period. Accept it. Milan controlled the line, time of possession and milan had double the snaps of offense. I don't recall Huntingdon having more than one possession in the third quarter.

Good point. Time of possession was critical because it looked like the Mustang defense got tired in the 4th quarter.

I hate to hear about your lineman going down with a broken leg. I remember last year one of our best defensive lineman (Autry) went down with a torn ACL early in the season and he was missed greatly.

    • So what changed at Greenville from Zeller to Ballard? I assume he was just bringing players in because I never remembered Greenville being good ever until Ballard.    Have you left the coaching profession?
    • I heard a rumor about Mr. Thomas the other day that he plans on changing his school once again. Does anyone know if this is true? I hope no other school would be willing to take him up on this.

    • Who has the best chance of winning the region this year? Harriman returns a lot, Midway returns a lot, Oliver Springs returns a lot, Greenback returns a lot with a second year coach, Rockwood lost a bit, Oakdale lost everyone and Coalfield lost a few, but returns a lot.
