What teams do you all think have a good chance to come out with the gold ball this year?

Cheatham Co., Jackson Co., Livingston will be strong, Upperman, Smith Co, Brandi Brown...ooppss I mean York, Hume Fogg will be very hard to beat, Walker Valley.

 

1. Smith County - 7AA

2. Walker Valley

3. Cheatham Co.

4. Upperman -7AA

5. Hume Fogg

6. Jackson Co. - 7AA

7. Livingston - 7AA

8. York - 7AA

 

Odds look good for 7AA to bring it home again.

Cheatham County would have been a contender anyway.

 

If they have the Waverly transfer playing for them, I make them the odds-on favorite.

I think on the West Tennessee side, you will have Chester Co., McNairy Central, and Martin Westview as the top teams.

Will it be Smith Co, Upperman or Jackson County this year...or does anyone outside of 7AA have a shot? I think this year other districts actually have a chance! I was very impressed with Walker Valley in the Substate loss to Livingston Academy last year. I think Smith Co., Upperman and Jackson Co. all should be top 5 teams.

Upper East Tennessee Checking In with:

 

District 1- Unicoi County and Elizabethton return solid teams. Sullivan Central will be improved and Happy Valley is always a threat.

 

District 2- South Greene and Pigeon Forge are the favorites. West Greene, Chuckey-Doak and Claiborne County could challenge.

This will be Walker Valley's year in double AA. Next year they will have to move up to AAA, where they will continue to do well because of strong coaching and dedicated players. Suzanne Morris is getting Division One looks, great sophomore in Butler, and host of other players.

 

I think if they stay healthy they will give the middle tn. teams a run for gold ball.

i agree blackandgold this is walker valley's year. if they want to win they have to do it this year. McMinn Central is going to be having a rebuilding this year. so they probably won't go near as far as they did last year. but still a competitive team. but not any where like last year.

I feel Central girls will be competitive and make several surprises this year. However, there will not be any 20 point wins like last year. Every game will be much closer.

Suzanne Morris of Walker Valley committed back in August just after the

AAU Nationals to the Univ of Maryland at Baltimore. She will be signning next month. This school is in the American East conference. Plays mostly in the New

England area.
