Coach Marnard, at Bearden was a First Team All-American @ D-End two years in a row, while he plyed at CNC. Did his Grad work at CNC, and coach at Cumberland College, before coming to Bearden as a Asst.

He understands the game as well as any coach in Knoxville. The talent at Bearden must be way down or there is some other factor that is pulling them down. I understand that alot of the betters football player from that area may be going to Maryville. He married a Jeff Co. girl and all her brothers played at JC. Her father coach at CNC and was the head Coach at Cherokee High years ago, the whole family will be there and try to help Breaden pull of a big win.

JC will pull away in the second half for a big win, hopefully all the other teams JC needs to win will do so.

What years did he play at CN, Barnyard? Also who did he marry from home if you don't mind?

Heath, I also am a JC alum and look for them to do well this week.  I saw where you and jc4life played in 2002, Is that right?  what number did you wear and what position did you guys play?  Just checking on old patriots, like myself!

I played for the Pats in the mid-late 90's.

Heath, you're a good guy. I gotta go with Bearden though. Those kids need a quality win in the worst way. Do i think they'll win? NO. But I wish they had SOMETHING to show for this year...

wow, so you were on those horrendous jeff co teams of 1998-99. they were awful. what a bunch of losers. they had no talent, besides upton, and i bet none of them ever played football in college, nor had the ability to do so. by the way, did you play a skill position or at least start. im sure anyone could play for that team. im gonna go with bearden in this won, thats right.

    • Honestly the A.D. may be powerless at Maryville to some degree versus other schools. I know he has his hands full with GoFan and all the stupid surprises just from the emails he sends out during the season.
    • Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
