We played them the other day, and would classify them as a pretty decent football team. Their QB Vance is quite good on the pass and also extemely effective with QB Keepers. They have a good tailback (Souder?) who really gives 110% effort and makes big plays with his speed. They also have a kid called Averitt who also plays hard. Good core of receivers also.

 

Small squad of around 30, which is a disadvantage as they were starting to look tired when they hit 3rd and 4th Quarter against CPA who have a squad of around 60 and don't have players going both ways.

Mount Pleasant shouldn't have much trouble with them. They are quite a step behind the top 3 teams in Region 5.

Is Souder 100% after the CPA game? He took quite a shot from Travis Sikes that stopped play for a bit. Hope he's well.

Hard to know, but he did walk onto the field at the end of the game when the teams were shaking hands and looked OK.

FRA is not a good football team, they're too young. Perhaps in a few years. It's one and done for FRA...but don't feel accomplished when you beat FRA. There lurks a greater opponent in round 2.
