Goodpasture vs. Tyner

Expert, let me be the first to welcome you back. It's great to hear some opinions of people east of Nashville. Doesnt get much better than playoff football in the hills. Hopefully Tyner can knock off GP and DL can then beat Tyner, and then betst case scenario the Stangs knock off another East Tn. team from Rocky Top, the Alcoa Tornadoes.

Saying Goodpasture doesn't recruit is like saying Vandy doesn't (oh, my bad, Vandy really doesn't). They need to change their school name or recruit players with cleaner mouths and actions. Kinda conflicting. Several late hits called against Meigs and several more that should have been. Didn't affect the outcome at all but showed VERY little class.......GP will probably beat Tyner (with better coaching, not better athletes). Pulling for the RamTrain though, and never have in the past.

ooooooo boy, the talk starts now we go get our players bla bla bla bla bla well if we go and get them why don't we call pat's dad and mom and ask them if coach martin came and talked to them or buggs,eakes,robinson,williams,or any other stand out players since we have so many but im sure thaat we do! not! but since everybody that lives in the hills knows and everything and the 2 that live in madison but im sure coach goes out and gets them or mabey that its that we are in the playoffs every year or that we have had 3 state championships since 95 maybe thats the reason we get the players and you know since we have them in every sport and not just one but besides all that this friday night will be a great game and yes our defense can stop tyner sice we are allowing only like 85 yrds a game or sumtin like that but tyner does have the athletes to beat n e body that they play but we will see this friday and yes our fans will be there

You are right on the magnet school thing. They supposedly have a lottery to see which students get selected. It seems the lottery must be loaded with 4.4 forty kids or 6'3" 280 lb. kids. Guess it is just lucky draw.

The only complaint I have is that the public schools have very little chance against these teams. Don't have the resources (million dollar weight rooms, paid strength and conditioning coaches. etc.). These teams should be playing teams with the same conditions. Just because you say you don't give financial aid doesn't make it a fact.

just cause a team is good doesn't mean that they pay their athletes to go to the school either. i went to public school so i have been on the losing end sometimes to privates. it is all about confidence and thinking you can do it. seems to me these public schools who lose just use the same excuse of recruiting when there is no hard eveidence to prove it. if you can prove it, be quiet about it.

i hope tyner beats the crap out of them. i have no real respect for either team. however i hate goodpasture witha passion.im not sure if tyner can pull if off cause they were phenomenial last year and got beat by lipscomb. hope they do but i guess we'll have to wait and find out.

Well I really don't care about Magnet schools, private schools, rich or poor. You can only play with 11 at one time and one ball. The field is the same length on both ends and the clock ticks the same for all. So let's just line up and play and may the best team from the hills win it all.
