tee1up
How does Riverdale do it? They have allowed only 8 points in their last 9 games! Amazing. I haven't seen them play in the past 2-3 years... Is it their scheme, speed, size, creating turnovers, or all of those???
Harris' hooligans
mainly there speed size and creating turnovers....they are also well coached 2 of those 8 points were from a safety and the other 6 were two field goals havent allowed a TD in something like 36 quarters

Riverdale really has it together. I love defense, and that amazes me! It just proves defense wins football games.
patriotposse98
wonder how many points the offense has actually scored this year. sounds like the D has done most of the work scoring.

vols#1
riverdale has outscored their foes 526-56 so far.7 shutouts out of 11 games. but i have a feeling symrna will make a better game out of it this time around but still lose by 28 points. my guess is 49-28 riverdale. Also, there's a pretty good defense over in cookeville as well, definately not as impressive but one of the better ones in the state. BHS05
What is also amazing about that streak is that by the 3 quarter, the second and third stings are in for the rest of the game against the other teams starters. That just shows you how deep this Riverdale team is, it is just amazing.
patriotposse98
not so hard when you have 99 on your roster and the closeset school blackman with 28 on theirs. makes ya wonder.
Lost Old Dad
The defense is very fast and more importantly strong. Not Riverdales fault that kids don't go out for football at other schools and have low rosters. The thing that I have seen that Riverdale has this year is that they have finally gone to two squad football and don't have that many playing both ways on defense and offense so they are fresh in the latter stages of the game. For instance the offensive line is truly two deep this year. As to the defense, the first two games this year were a wake up call for Riverdales defense as well. After getting scored on in them the defense was run till they started to perform to Rankin's satisfaction. By this I mean the WHOLE team runs the 'snake' if they are scored on. Peer pressure can do wonderful things some times.
