macon said the same thing last year great team.many teams in 3a don't pass so when p-town,la,smith,york,trousdale,macon play austin east or fulton they can't hang only when they play seymour do they win those games but it's nothing against any of your schools.

I think Trousdale hung with them pretty well 2 years ago in a 14-13 OT loss.

Macon was one dimensional. SC is not.

SC also has a good passing game and is not one dimensional. We have a 1500 yard passer as well as a 1500 yard rusher. Thats pretty balanced I think. Macon Co.'s offense not one that could compete with you guys. I think SC has a better shot at it. We've played and scrimmaged teams all year with more speed than us. This one will be no different. We are 12-1 and looking for another one. You come on down thinking SC can't hang and you will be suprised.

im on the team and no 1 on the team is underestimating any body. its the 4th round of the playoffs how can you? its mostly your own fans on here talking any way, ne way you say youve played and scrimmaged teams with speed all year but have you played fulton or austin east? because theres teams thats quick and then theres teams u dont even see as they go by. remember fulton is in the top 3 almost every year in track and most of our players are on those track teams. not sayin you cant hang but i guarantee youve not seen a team with as much speed as us. CYA FRIDAY!

Well...actually I think we have. We usually scrimmage Riverdale (didn't this year...did last year). I think they're pretty quick.

This sounds like a regurgitation of the last 2 years in the Semis. Of course, Fulton has the speed and quickness and the 4-3A teams have the Size and strength. And I already see the same fans that were on the boards the passed 2 years saying that the size will overcome and stun our speed…just ask Macon who hit who last year. I think you will be surprised at our size, as well. Like I have said throughout the playoffs, we are defending Champs, but we still have something to prove every week, especially with this team…this was suppose to be a rebuilding year, but forget that, now-a-days we just reload. The Owls better be ready to run come Friday and watch out for the Deuce!

Go Falcons, Keep the Streak over 4-3A alive and let’s get back to the show!!!

You're right. How could our small but slow guys possibly hang with such speedy and talented Falcons? Just don't hurt our little guys. We may not have enough players to finish the game.

Antwan....dont get me wrong, I am sure Smith has plenty of weapons and talent, or they wouldnt be where they are. I just get tired of the posters (especially the fans of Trousdale and Macon) that get on here and say that we are gonna "get hit in the mouth" and then we will forget how to play. anyone that has followed the Falcons and the Semi-final matches knows that we are not one-dimensional.

I think this will be a great matchup. Home field advantage will be key for Owls and should prove to make this another classic in Middle-Tennessee

Go Falcons!!!!!!

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
