Brentwood Academy 1980 went 14-0 beat Knoxville Rule 21-20 in State Championship game

Not the best ever but one of the best no doubt was the 1994 Marion County Warriors 15-0 State champs. Out scored opponents 633-57

 

That was the best defensive team I have seen personally.

Brentwood Academy....9 State Titles

Dobyns Bennet........9 State Titles

MBA.........8 State Titles

Maryville.......8 State Titles

Oak Ridge....7 State Titles

 

You could make a case for any of these great teams.

The two Tennessee High teams in the early 70's won back to back state titles and a national championship. They are the best I have seen. Other schools

have had more state champs but I think the national champs trumps everyone.

I'd have to say in single a huntland had a few teams that didn't give up a single point under Shirley majors
