All players will be tested during the season, but "may" be tested during the offseason.

This is nothing more than a bandaid.  If you want to get serious about it then the suspensions should mirror that intention.

1st positive test - 1 year ban.  2nd positive test - lifetime ban.

You're wanting to give the players a reason not to do the stuff...the new policy is a slap on the wrist.

It's fairly similar to the NFL policy...isn't that what everybody has been wanting?

I think it's a good idea....but if I could make the punishments it would be

1st offense 30 games

2nd offense 60 games

3rd offense The rest of the season

4th offense Miss half of the next season

With the punishments they will be handing out they might work.....but I think my punishments could cut it almost all out!

You're still just slapping the hand of players for doing something that is illegal. You want a policy that will scare them enough to where they won't even do it in the first place. 3rd and 4th chances? I'm sort of edging on my idea of a 2nd chance.

    • Yeah, I read about their spring blue/gray scrimmage after I typed that.   Sounds like a real mess over there.  I just hate that for 'em.  Haw
    • Maybe OR will be, but Farragut, nah, I don’t think anybody realizes how much of a bad situation that program is in currently. I’m sure they will build out of it, but the next 3 to 4 years are going to be a long climb up.
    • Thats one of the problems of having an 8-team region. A team could make it in any other region, but the numbers work against them in this one.

    • MTD (Stanley Black and Decker) and UTM are the only thing keeping Westview's numbers up. Are school enrollments dropping in those listed schools too or just athletic rosters?
