Yes, LC beat Trenton but Boykin is the ref that ejected Doakes. So your wrong on that one. The problem with the entire ordeal is the fact that District 16a ref's  have not been consistent. These kids are student athletes not pros. You can't lean one way because a team has a Doakes or Shane. I have seen this happen all year and its frustrating to teams who have to play 5 players and 1-3 ref's.

Dan Boykin did not eject Doaks...Tommy Sewell called the two technicals on Doaks thus the ejection.

I must say....this is the first time (and I mean EVER) that fans have complained about officials being biased in FAVOR of Lake County.

I just have this observation to throw out there -- I'm from LC, and I'm currently a student at UTK. I've been to nearly every gym in northwest Tennessee and I've seen some rowdy crowds. I've never quite seen anything like what happened last night (even though I wasn't there to see that, either), but I've been in some places that are so loud you can't hear yourself think.

Contrast that to last Friday night. I went to watch Heritage play Maryville. District game, cross-town rivals, two of the top teams in the state (girls), senior night at Heritage, packed house, student sections right on top of the floor for both teams. And I believe that's the quietest gym I've ever been in. Didn't hear any taunting, heard very little booing, not much yelling, just polite clapping whenever their team scored a basket. Throughout the game, you could actual speak to your neighbor in conversational tones. Never seen anything quite like it.

Some of these folks in Middle Tenn. can talk about their gyms being the loudest or their student sections being the most obnoxious, whatever. I think most folks will agree that, after last night, no one's got much on Lake County. They take it a little too far sometimes, but it almost gives the Falcons a Cameron Indoor Stadium-type home court advantage.

That's one reason that LC will probably never host a district tournament again. Everyone talks about what a long drive it is to Tiptonville for 4-5 nights in a row. Well, what about Lake County's drive to Gleason or Trenton or South Fulton or Dresden 4-5-6-7 nights in a row? Every single year?

I don't know if the calls were biased toward one team or another. After all, Peabody was shooting double bonus halfway through the 3rd quarter...Lake County was at the beginning of the 4th quarter.

There's nothing wrong with large load crowds...it makes for a fun atmosphere for a game. I for one enjoy the games with a big crowd. Lake County brings a big crowd for their games and that's great - they should support their team as each team's fans should. Just remember, when the game is over, it's over and don't carry it further with any taunting or anger vented toward other players, fans, coaches & officials.

I don't know Sewell by name, but probably do by face. I 'm not here to be a ref basher, I used to do it myself. The high school atmosphere is great in any gym when its' loud and obnoxious (to an extent). It's the competitve nature of us beasts. Lake County has always been a tough environment to play in, alot like Peabody. I don't know who the principal is at Peabody, but I remember last year, some of their students/fan sitting in the opponents' designated area and getting pretty nasty with plenty of room on their own side. I remember the law being called in Greenfield on a "racus" two years ago, because the Peabody fans entered the Greenfield side of the gym. I like rowdy, clean games but I feel the administrators should stress to their students/fans to maintain their own sides and not to place themselves in volatile situations by entering the other's domain. Does anyone agree with that?

I was there and seen the whole ordeal. Doaks did steal the ball and they called it a foul. He did dunk the ball after the whistle was blown that gave hims the technical. Lake County fans did start the whole thing with the Partee kid. The man that started it was so old that he could've been Partee's father. (So who's acting like a child?) And yes, the technical foul called on Sisco early in the game was a bogus call. I think that ref named Tommy had it in for Trenton all night. He called every technical on Trenton. Sounds pretty fishy to me. The emotions were running high. Lake County was very rude to Trenton last night. They'll be the same way towards us (HALLS) Saturday so we just have to be focused on the game, not the crowd. Maybe they'll stop having the districts at Lake County all the time. Hopefully Halls will get to host one sometime soon. GO TIGERS! thumb

Lady K..I really like you and have talked to you several times at the games..I have always said that you must have bumped your head but now I'm wondering if you may have blinked or had your eyes closed on that steal...Now only did Doakes foul but he fouled about 2 minutes earlier as he was going for a loose ball on Lake Co's side close to the Lake Co bench..Whitby tried to get that call from Boykin but didn't get it...Now,,as far as the crowd..I don't condone what happened as far as the crowd behavior...I know the Lake Co police department was putting a guy in the police car after the game..I believe I know the older guy you are talking about...A black man that was standing up all night...But still,Partee was in a bad mood from not playing past the 1st quarter and Cisco had to make him get up after the game and shake hands..I'm not sure he wasn't in the frame of mind to go after someone at the drop of a pin...My son said he took a swing at someone...The fans should have let them go to the dressing room and Partee should have also realized that if he had gone in the stands someone could have been seriously injured, some small child or most likely himself..I'm not too sure I would want to go in a hostile crowd of several hundred people and start throwing punches...Now ..back to Halls...I have been to several games at Halls over the years even when we weren't playing each other..I believe Lake Co has that special rivalry with Halls...a good hard game, usually pretty cleanly played, with both crowds unbelievable..I believe Whitby likes Coach Jarret and I believe the Lake Co fans has a lot of respect for Halls but definite want to win and I hear a lot of Lake Co fans say they wish we had Demarcus Patrick and that Tates is a good player...I am for Halls no matter who they are playing besides us..I guess it's because I work with so many people from Halls and we talk at work...But..I've been to to a couple games at Halls the past few years,a bottle was thrown on the floor one year and in a game against South Fulton, the game was stopped and both teams were forced to leave the playing arena and several people from Halls were escorted out of the gym..So.I hope you don't let all those people from Trenton,in the same colors as you ,think they are hollering for Halls against Lake Co...They will be just hollering against Lake Co..Hall's black and gold is a lot prettier than Trenton's..Several Trenton fans just can't believe Lake Co has a better team..Doakes is a great player but Trenton is not a better team..Maybe they should go back and read one of your post from about a month ago...You were ranking the teams that you had actually played...You said Lake Co was the best, quickest with great athletes..Mr.Gigglefly must not have read that article..He says in a post today that Trenton has more talent than Lake Co..Other than Doakes, would you be so kind and tell me what other player Trenton has that could start at Lake Co?..Gigglefly must have bumped his head the same way you did earlier this year..lol...Good luck tomorrow night...Not..

You're right, I did say that Lake County has the best team in 16A, but that doesn't matter if they're not playing well that night. Just like Middle College. They were expecting to come in and just show up and win. That didn't happen. Halls is a tournament team. That's when they get into their groove. You're right. Trenton does not have as much talent as Lake County. Trenton just has the star player(Doaks). He reminds me alot of Shaq though. He can dunk and lay the ball up if he's right under the goal. But if he goes out towards the free throw line, it's nasty. I bet he didn't shoot half of the free throws he was given last night. He has to work on that. He's been pretty bad about taunting the crowd this year. Last year, he was very cool, he didn't let the crowd bother him. Now he has to talk to the crowd and dunk after whistles are blown to prove himself. He really doesn't have to prove himself because everyone knows he's good. Just be yourself, focus on the game and let your stats be your voice. That's why I like Demarcus Patrick. He plays his game and if they win or loose he has great sportsmanship. Just an all around great kid. GO HALLS! WE WANT A REPEAT! GO TIGERS! thumb

No Repeat!Lake Co is too quick and Halls won't be able to get their shots off like they did against Middle..Halls can't do anything with Lake Co's pressure defense..

We'll see about that tonight. Those kids from Halls really want this win tonight. I guess they want to prove something. Last night they said we're coming for it tomorrow. So you better be expecting some good playing from the Tiger crew. Halls can hang with good teams. It seems like they play better when they're playing good teams. All I can say is whatever happens tonight, I'm going to still be proud of them because everyone doubted them this year. All I can say is "they proved you wrong, so maybe they'll do it again tonight." GO HALLS! REPEAT! REPEAT! REPEAT!

Mrbigster... I've enjoyed cutting up with you on here. No matter who wins tonight, both teams are well deserved of it. ;) But I still want Halls to win! lol...lol...

Same here Lady K...It's been fun and even if we lose tonight or even in the region..I will be pulling for all the teams in our area...Even the other team that wears the black and gold..I may have to start referring to them like Geno says about Pat Summit's Lady Vols..The evil empire!

Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??

All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
