Anyone know when Heritage plays a scrimmage game this spring. This is a very hard place to find out anything because it is run like North Korea, Kim Jong-Hammontree is very secretive about what goes on behind big tall fence.

If not for Hammontree's tenure at Maryville we wouldn't have what we have today. Watch your mouth...

I have no ill will towards Hammontree at all or any of the other coaches that are at any of the four schools in Blount County. Tim is just what the doctor ordered for the problems at Heritage believe it or not. A cancer developed in that program many years ago that it was going to take a specialist like him to go out there and remove it. Sometimes he may go as far as cutting his nose off to despite his face but if there is a coach out there that will do that , it would be him. Cutting his nose off means that no one is bigger than the program and when you think you are he will show you the road. For many years the coaches didn't run that program but were a puppet of the school and parents. His first year he gathered everyone together and told them the rules and if they didn't like it hit the road and half did leaving him with thirty kids. He has some very different and strange ways of doing things but he has always been successful. If you go by a Heritage practice you don't see parents lined up to go stick their head up his #### like most other places because he will not tolerate that nonsense. I do know for the most part that he loves the kids that play for him and for all the problems over the years that led to the destruction of that program that he was the right choice to get those problems solved out there. My only problem with him is his pull back from the media on how the kids are doing and what we have to look forward to this coming year. You just don't know until you go see a scrimmage game and you find out about a game from the other teams. I live half a mile from the school but have to find out their playing Oak Ridge in a scrimmage game from friends 35 miles away. At the time I hated it that he left Maryville and will always remember the 98 team that started all this run we have been on but things worked out for the best in the end.

Did anybody go to any of the 7 on 7 I didn't was just interested to know if anybody saw Heritage play and had some comments about how they looked I know being 7 on 7 its hard to judge. And also you guys asking about a scrimmage I don't know of any but I remember seeing that SweetScience Oak Ridge guy said something about I think we scrimmage them some time in August that'll be a good test for us to see how competitive we'll be this season and our corners will get some experience guarding the best wr in the state
