I'm ready for spring practice. So here is my unofficial rankings for 3A . thoughts?
I'm just not seeing Sequatch as a top ten this year.lost 19 of 22 starters.I say they start off 1-3 then their schedule is very weak should win a few of those. Edited by orngnblk

there need s to be an official 2nd place gold ball TSSAA...now that ND has left the PUBS; there will never be another title holder until Aluminum City moves up/down, gets caught and given death penalty or they discontinue the football program and put hardwood alleys on top of that cheap turf

agree....Alcoie is making a joke out of public school 3A football since they have an East Tennessee All Star team year in year out...until an occasional private like CPA or CAK out recruits them....but those 2 have gone officially pay-for-play now...something Alcoie should be forced to do....level playing field...that's all the "play with what gets off that yellow bus" schools are asking for....

darn...I hate that Alcoie missed out on that recruit....

Yup....they come from out of state to get off the yellow bus at Alcoa! They want learn to play REAL football. Not the sissy stuff you teach'm there coach cofo! The heart of the success comes within the city and the feeder system. Alcoa has the best. cofo needs to get off his hump and get the pipeline started and quit whining cause the kids getting off Milan's yellow bus are not coached up before the get to high school! Yup, Lots of weak feeder systems out there. Build a successful program and they will want to play for the F5!.....no recruiting needed! Yup.

Really...........Let's remember 2016 did not end too well for the Irish......Lost 3 of 4 down the stretch..........Don't think you all ever really challenged Alcoa much either..........like the rest of us in 3A

Alcoa's winning % against private schools since their "dynasty" as many call it began in 2004 is greater than .900 overall.

DCA, Knoxville Webb, CAK, CPA, Goodpasture, Lipscomb, Knoxville Catholic, Notre Dame, McCallie

Alcoa's record against them during that time = 37-4

Guess what they all do.......

Alcoa is also 5-1 against Fulton during that time frame. Fulton isn't exactly playing with kids like "Wartburg or Oliver Springs" now.

    • While I appreciate being credited with multiple accounts, I have to say that is not true. Will you please report back to your people that I am not someone who provides sharp, witty banter, but rather someone who is putting the shoe on the other foot for some people that have been repeatedly bashing others here and in real life for the past few years? Everything that I have stated has been backed by factual evidence or public record, so no need to be sharp and witty.
    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
