Wasn't here to answer your question.  I just made a point about the ridiculous salary and the return on investment (as far as success is measured).  To answer your question, if I was in charge of the money there it would be difficult to pay that amount off the bat.  However, I sure would have some performance steps in there to get him to that level if he revives the program, restores and maintains prominence.  There are too many moving pieces to this equation that none of us is privy to.....unless you are on the inside.  We do not know budget figures, contributions, what boosters are willing to pony up, etc.... So it really does not matter what the common folk thinks.  But it is fun to speculate and act like pundits.  Isn't it?

Their budget is in an attachment ITT. Having $37,000,000 in expenses and generating $40,000,000 in revenue seems to mean they are doing ok.  The guy from Amherst running the show over there must be doing something right huh?

Ensworth has had a who's who of kids attend there of the top D1/NFL calibar talent the last several years. Many transferred and then went on to good P5 college careers. If they want to get to that level they can.

Your Corn Elder comment was kinda funny considering Ensworth beat a team at BA with a current NFL all pro and NFL DE. Both guys were college All Americans too. Saying he did it with one player actually supports my assertion that he's a great coach considering the teams he was competing against.

Ricky Bowers is a TN hall of fame coach. You can disagree all you want but he's won everywhere he's been and has the titles to warrant being mentioned as one of the best. Sorry those facts bother you.

dont u nose it, brother chief....but Booger OK with lil ole BA playin up and slappin them big AAA teams around as they wish...cause the Irish still lookin for that first gold one and thinkin BA might b in our way in doin that right now.....Ensworth aint what they once were, tho sum like to reach back in the past as if they still r....so Booger wouldnt care if they came down to AA right now......tho that would definatley hurt theat rep of runnin with the Johnsons

Never said he shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame.  Congrats to him and it is deserving.  My only question is when was the last time Ensworth was truly dominating in any sport?   I would think that in that league they would be the standard.  But apparently, I am not very smart.  Is there a reason why they have not been?

That league is extremely talented. Ensworth in any other division probably would have been playing for a Gold Ball most of the past 5 to 6 years.

Good grief...you never stop.

Lipscomb's CURRENT enrollment puts them right where they should be.  They had a heavy 2017 senior class that artificially inflated their enrollment numbers.  Don't be surprised when classifications are reshuffled in a couple of years, Lipscomb will drop down to D2-A in all other sports.

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
