  3. Just sitting here so thankful this morning as My daughter is having my 4th grandbaby and just found out my son Marshall booker made the 2a Allstate team! Just want folks to know what a tough young man he is. He suffered a fracture in his leg in the middle of the season against smith co but refused to sit out and fight through the pain playing Center and defensive tackle. I’ve been posting on these boards for many years looking forward to my boys playing in a state title game some day. It didn’t work out that way but I’m so thankful he got this accolade to finish out his career! I doubt I’ll be back on these boards much until at least my now 5 year old grandson has his shot at a state title or my 1 year old grand boy comes along! It’s been a bitter sweet year to say the least but proud of you Marshall booker

  5. It’s not just system, it’s culture. He has to build a new culture for them to be successful, which means he has to be able to cut loose anyone he don’t see fitting the culture. It’s easier to teach a position coach a new technique or system than it is to get them to let go off the past culture. If he’s not able to hire the coaches he wants, they can’t be upset if he doesn’t get the results they anticipate.

  6. People don't see the bigger picture...no way that one guy (Lowery) made the "decision" to go all in and change the culture by throwing cash around and hiring Dilfer on his own, and no way that McQueen stands in the way of continuing what has already been proven to work, unless the brain trust allows it. It's pretty evident what the target was when things were set in motion, and they 100% achieved it... now the only question is if they just wanted to see the view from the top, or if they want to stay there.

  8. You know the football history of Coach Stroup, but you're getting an asset in everything associated with the man and his family. Not going to publish a novel, but everything in and around Gallatin that has to do with football just got better.

  9. Candice may change some things but this I know to be true.....there is more money and excitement flowing into the academy football program than at the entire university, and it's not from the Lipscomb lifers.

  10. The question is why would the Board of Control oppose something and vote against something that the member schools unanimously voted with of over 80% to change the rule? If the Board of Control knows something that the member schools have not been told they need to come clean.
