I didn't know Coach Cummings that well on a personal level but what I did know of him, he didn't have a bad attitude, he had an all business attitude. And an attitude that he was the boss and it was gonna be done his way! And as head coach that's the way it's supposed to work, isn't it? Guess folks weren't ready for that!
I would love to have Coach Miner back at Oak Ridge. I would sit next to his Parents when Jeff was QB / DE. They always thanked me for being so positive toward the Cats.
I think he’d do a good job myself. HVA went 1-9 last year, but if you look at their schedule they were in quite a few of those losses. 4 of those losses came by 14 points or less.
Sometime Knox County approves a transfer and later information is found out that the transfer player was found out to be ineligible. Just because Knox County Schools approvers a transfer doesn't mean TSSAA has declared the player eligible.
Everybody hates a winner. Welcome to the club. Pretty soon (if they haven't already) they'll start inventing accusations that have no merit. Get used to it taking a long time to putting a schedule together
The level girls wrestling has grown in just the last 5 years is astounding. Thanks to both of you guys for giving effort and making rankings for them - even if there are arguments (there is in every set of rankings after all) these girls deserve the same treatment and respect as the boys.
As long as kids get a transfer approved or they move zones it is all perfectly legal and they can play right away, except when a private school is involved. Wish more kids would come over to the far west by Turkey Creek! Don't hate the player, hate the game guys. Don't be jealous when kids want to go play for a particular program/head coach.
Could not agree more!

I'm not sure about what Grace and Brentwood academy bring but I'm sure they'll be some solid guys in there somewhere.
Well going forward let's look at this as a positive. Brand new and fresh head coach steps in with tons of excitement and plenty of energy to get OR rolling again. Players and parents will get behind him and the administration will work with what ever he needs. OR has talent and 2023 will be a very exciting year for OR and fans. I see a huge positive coming out of all this for the Wildcats. And wish them the best in 2023. Go Cats! Let's get behind the Cats!
