Needs to be a big gate game without Jasper or NJ. I can think of a team that wears blue and yellow that would have a lot of attention…if available

SP’s first business should be holding on to SP players. I figure some will jump ship to try and play for the young coaches.

That Hargis man hit a good point in his paper. 

"Every coach in every sport across the state better be working to make their program attractive enough that kids will want to be a part of it," said one area football coach. "If you're not, you're going to lose a lot of kids to the teams who are doing that.

"The transfer portal is coming to prep sports. The TSSAA might delay it a bit, but they can't stop what's coming."

Buckle up.

Hoping the Pirates can get the 4th seed next year.

South Pitt & Oliver Springs liable to be two best teams in the East and they play in week 1 or 2 again I believe. Gordonsville and Oliver Springs both sound like they return the most and probably favorites in each region. And for those that want to bump their gums about us not being deserving of being there.  Where was your team sitting yesterday?  I read most of these post and will comment on those posts that are in good spirit or positive about either team.  I will not get into a pissing match with some clown that hides behind a keyboard who continues to try to belittle the accomplishments of kids or programs.  That is nonsense and not worth our time.

Both can make the run next year. It’s now time for the SP freshmen and sophomore class to shine.

This may have been mentioned but the opening coin toss honored the late Matt Blansett and Lee Russell. Both heroes for each community.

Craziest stat may be this team didn’t trail all year until today.

I am still really impressed at what transpired after Kam went out. Fundamentals win games. Nothing fancy. Hat on a hat. You know it’s coming can you stop it??
