THE GAME OF FOOTBALL ITSELF IS MORE DANGEROUS THAN THE VIRUS. MORE KIDS GET KILLED AND PARALYZED EVERY YEAR PLAYING FOOTBALL THAN HAVE DIED FROM THE VIRUS. I understand that they could give it to parents, but they go home everyday regardless. These kids are not social distancing outside of school anyways.

The state champion will be a school that puts all players online. Could be a metro school. If all the starters are not online, they will get contact traced which will result in a automatic Win for the opposing team that is all online.

Yes it’s a county wide policy. I don’t know Brentwood’s status as of now but none of the Willco teams will make it past the second round if the policy stays in place. Independence, Nolensville and Page couldn’t even field a team this week because so many kids were out for contact tracing. By my metric 1 positive case is equalling around 100 kids being quarantined.

Drive past your local Williamson County High School and look at the parking lot. It's wild. They'll drop this contact tracing policy once they get the ACT scores back and see that they're super low. Willco's priority has never been athletics.

Looks like Williamson County won't be surviving this new contact tracing policy. We at least made it 7 weeks. Hate it for the kids though.

For clarification. The Williamson County Schools are not getting shut down for covid, they’re getting shutdown for hyper aggressive contact tracing. Schools were handling it and the health department took over and nuked the system. Most of the WillCo schools have SINGLE DIGIT covid cases and are sending hundreds of kids home from each case. Shameful. Idiotic. Unbelievable.

It’s the only district that’s fully masked all day long. I have no idea what they’re doing all I know is that the contact tracing was taken from the schools and given to the health department and they’re sending THOUSANDS home using overly aggressive contact tracing. It’s going to nuke all the sports.

Gonna go out on a limb and say Brentwood by 3. But likely scenario is Oakland by 14.

Lol does anyone on here think Maryville will put football in jeopardy by putting in a hyper aggressive contact tracing program? They like their football up there.

No they’re not. But from here on out each Willco team is going to play each game with a significantly depleted roster from quarantined players. And that’s if the game isn’t outright cancelled. Schools will be sending hundreds home quarantining. Not an exaggeration. Thousands amongst all the schools.

Looks like the gold ball will once again be handed to East Tennessee. Three middle Tennessee contenders are in Willco.

Schools were handling contact tracing individually. It was taken out of their hands by the county health department. An overly aggressive system of contact tracing has been put in place and it looks like Willco football and other sports won’t survive it.

Williamson county is making some odd choices in regards to contact tracing and will likely be shut down soon.
