At the Riverdale game last night that was all the talk. He has not played the past 3 games and we were told by a Oakland parent that he is gone. Oakland being very quite about this situation. Early post and on the 7AAA thread, and a comment by the parent last night would indicate a bad and very embarrassing situation happened at a tournament last weekend. That is ashame, he was a good ball player but probably an individual instead of a teammate IMO.

Ill say this much: with or without Watson, Oakland is moving on. The Team is not gonna use losing watson as an excuse

The game should be on for today barring any unexpected change in weather. I agree with your assessment that Oakland plays more relaxed without Watson, wouldnt suprise me a big to see Oakland regain the form they had in the preseason

well they did recruit dave thomas so i guess they have a thing for hotheads?

I dunno about that...for me the pressure to perform helps...sense of urgency there. Watson was a leader on the team and a huge asset so this loss will hurt them regardless of what ppl say

Well they turned around and beat Morristown West 16-1 and have swept White County. Tonights game was an OHS slugfest 17-2.

Well it was quite a slugfest tonight. With Rusty Howard gettin his first homerun of the season. P.J. Polk hit another homerun and that gives him 2 and he is also on fire. He got on everytime against white county. Freshman Tennyson Dodd had 2 homerun tonight. one was a grandslam. wow! ive never seen a freshman hit 2 homeruns in a game. That was all part of a 14 run 4th inning for the pats. well oakland also played great defense, and pitching was huge. Rusty pitched the first four innings and Josh Farmer finished it up. Great job tonight! keep it up against cookeville!
