DB should win this region

This is just sad. Does this Region only have one team that can play football? No wonder all the chest-pounding coming from DB fans. By the voting so far it looks like DB's only real competition is going to come from the 4A schools on their schedule. (and one of those is a 3A moveup.)

DB has to carry the region 1 torch by themselves this year, like last year I think they will be the only team to win a playoff game this fall.

With a huge load of students pouring into Science Hill, they SHOULD be a threat every year, but it seems like they never fully utilize all of their talent.

This poll is not showing that DB wont be have to win hard fought close games from these teams.... It is showing that overall people think that at the end of the year they will have the better region record to get the #1 playoff season...This is because they usually do win the region... but not without close calls from teams like Jefferson County, Bearden, and Science Hill, and even the occasional loss to a Karns....

Campbell county wont finish second in the region. They don't have the player #'s. Last year they had to combine their freshman and jv teams and still barely had enough to play a jv/freshman game. Most of their varsity players play every down on both sides of the ball.

Where are you getting your information DZbettin? I am somewhat curious because in the spring drills, the Cougars only had 1 or 2 players playing iron man ball and had around 40-45 players dressed for scrimmages.

Im sorry, but Bearden is terrible. They went 1-9 and i dont care who u are bringing back, if u have the same record as bradley central and u get beat by south doyle who didnt win a game in 2 years...............You have to be just flat out HIDIOUS at the game of football. Its saddens me though, bearden atleast used to be competition.............now they are just another game to improve on players stats.

I do not know if anyone is aware of this, but cc has lost their defensive coordinator to Onieda. CC has a HUGE space to fill. If someone lesser a caliber of coach comes in to replace wampler, CC running game will have to score big numbers this year.

Any truth to the rumor that the Johnson kid has been living with Wampler and might jump ship on Campbell Co. with a legal guardianship to Wampler to strengthen Oneida into a 1A state title contender?
