I don't think he'll get it.......It'll probably go to Andruw Jones........ B)

Votes are cast before postseason, so postseason will have no effect on MVP. But there is absolutely no doubt Pujols will win MVP, not going to reargue that point, it is a fact as we will all find out in November. If Bonds were not around, it would be his third and he's 25.

By the way Pujols postseason stats in 36 post season games, 10 HR, 29 RBI, 28 runs scored with a .346 batting average. Prorate that to compare to a 162 game season and it would be .346 with 45 HR, 130 RBI and 126 runs scored, about what he does every year. Absolutely incredible--and did I mention he's only 25.

Another must win in game 6, can't wait till tommrrow night.

I wasn't trying to start an argument..........Just saying that he will probably get it because he led 2 out of the 3 triple crown awards....... B)

Need help with reading comprehension? I was replying to one of your Brave buddies who brought the Braves into the conversation. I certainly don't want to talk about the Braves, they are no longer playing. I certainly wasn't crying and certainly showed no indication of giving up on the Cards. Said outlook was bleak, but if Carpenter can get them back home, who knows? And the other comment was "if" they lose one more to Astros, then it would be a disappointing season, but they're not there yet. And the length of time since the Cardinals last championship is the reason for the disappointment IF the season ends without the World Championship, as the Braves fans should be disappointed IMO. But there is still hope for the Cardinals in 2005, just no more room for error.

Actually my reading comprehension is working just fine as I understood very well what you were saying! Thats why I told you to quit crying! B)

And see I told you not to give up on your team! B)

Man, I halfway feel sorry for Houston fans. Everyone I have heard on radio today is more doom and gloom than even your best Boston fan.

I guess they forgot they do have Oswalt and Clemens coming up. But hey, I hope they are right! ;)

Lets see........Your one out away from going to the World Series for the first time in a long time(I think)......You've got the best Relief pitcher on the mound in the majors and you give up a 3 run BLAST!......to the best hitter in the majors.....wouldn't you feel that way?

Whether this HR is remembered as just a huge HR or one of the biggest HR's in history depends on what Cardinals do now. If they can win games 6 and 7 and go on to win World Series, this HR will rank in the top 10 HR of all time. If not, it will be a big HR that will occasionally come up in conversation.

Bobby Thompson, Maz, Gibson, Carter, Fisk (although they lost), Dent, Dave Henderson. I'm sure I've left out others.

Pujols?

But even these only Henderson, Thompson and Pujols were facing elimination in their last at bat when blasts were hit.

Others from personal favorites--Ozzie, Jack Clark

Unfair things in life:

When you get to the office and there is an email telling you that a buddy has two tickets to game 6 tonight if you want them and you can't take them because of a deadline at work. :(

Fair things in life:

If the Cards win and take it to game seven, I have a ticket! :P

I guess I should have re-titled this "Fair things FOR ME in life. :thumb:

    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
