Should be a good game and everything. Don't know much about David Lipscomb but I know that they better watch out for the Big Blue Train from Livingston.

The only thing that may hurt Livingston is that they are not use to playing on turf. Also, if they wait till the fourth quarter to play it may be to late this game. Therefore, they better play ball all four quarter. Again, not every playing on turf may hurt Livingston.

Dear Naive:

How many Lipscomb games have you seen Antwan? Any film? I doubt it. Stronger? How strong is Lipscomb? How fast is Lipscomb? I haven't seen any times or weight charts. As well coached? How do you know? Coach MacAdams isn't going to be outcoached. I know your thinking, we beat Livingston, it'll make Smith County look good if Livingston wins. It won't happen. As the "Plas" says BOOK IT. Maybe it'll bring Livingston luck. They'll need it.

Sincerely, Not a Lipscomb Fan

Don't have to see DL. They are the same every year. I've seen them numerous times in the past. They have an exceptional athlete or two...as Elrod is this year.2.jpg along with Blake Neelley.e.jpg As for the coaching...very familiar with DL there too. They are well coached...no better than Catholic or Notre Dame. I have seen McAdams outcoached in the past too...as has just about any coach you can name. If you don't believe that...you are the naive one. They will try to pound the ball at LA...and will use the run to set up the play action pass to primarily Ford HillinLIP01.jpg. They will also run the option with qb Clay Smith lipscomblexington01.jpghaving several carries.

Now...which LA game did you see? Which DL games did you see?

Nah...our game with LA has no bearing on what I think. Will it make Catholic...AE...Fulton...Trousdale look "good" as you say in LA wins? Not really.

LA has stepped it up a notch in the playoffs. It appears LA makes their own luck.

It sure is going to be weird going to an LA football game at noon! Just doesn't seem right that it isn't under the lights. But who cares since it is for the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP! I think it will be very close. This will be LA toughest challenge yet. Just as in all the other playoff games, it all depends on the game that Wilson "Superman" Cates has. :P This game will be a heartbreaker for someone.

Not even going to try to predict the score on this one, just waiting to see it on the scoreboard.

Well i have one thing to say......the boys from LA are lookin for a ring....that was our goal at the first of the year and its finally here. I dont see any of us stopping til we got one on each of our fingers. And i have something to say to DL.....better tighten up those chin straps......cuz us blue collar boys will hit u in the mouth and keep on truckin. Also, Cates is only gonna be faster on turf so thats another thing for u to look forward to. I see only one thing and thats us pulling it out....not sure of the score.

I agree LA has really started to play alot better sense the playoffs. They have faith in theirselfs and God they don't need any more luck than that. And to who ever said that DL would win because they have more heart thats a bunch of bull.LA will PROVE that wrong Sauterday

LA-35

DL-21

I would like to extend to everyone a warm welcome to the David Lipscomb vs Livingston Academy thread on CoachT.com. This thread is a home to throngs of Livingston fans who talk amongst themselves about how DL is overlooking them and how they are the underdog, and then go on about how many points Livingston is going to win by. Really, there has been no one from DL on this board even claiming to have a shot against LA, yet the beloved Hog-Eye remains tread on by the big bad private school. (By big I mean objects in multiplier are smaller than they appear, by bad I mean haven't talked any trash whatsoever on CoachT, and by private I mean not publicly funded). To any and all visitors, enjoy your stay. Finally to the Livingston faithful, may your discussions be fruitful.

Well, I dunno if LA has a chance or not, they only went 5-5 in the regular season afterall... I'm sure DL will roll right through them and LA won't be able to do anything against the Lipscomb defense... oh well, it was a good run through 4 higher-seeded teams... B)

Well, 5-5 doesn't matter at all, right now the cats are 4-0, that's all that matters.
