gotmilk?
Looks like another division winner without enough pitching to win it all, and another division championship is not what Cardinal fans are looking for. They will be fighting for a wildcard, the stros will win the division!!!

I'm about to the point where I am willing to mortgage the future to bring in a stud in mid-July to give us a 1-2-3 threat come October. As of now, I still think the Ponson signing was a gamble worth making. For what we'e paying him, if we can get 10-15 wins out of him, then it's worth it. gotmilk?
Doubt that... Astros will win the division by 4 games unless Clemens comes back then it may be more like 8-9!!!

Bighurt
Nope Cards win the division, the Astros will have to fight the Mets and Phillies for the wildcard... I was just wondering what Cardinals fans think of Mr. Ponson now.
Bledsoebtheboys
I was just wondering what Cardinals fans think of Mr. Ponson now. They thought they had replaced him with Jeff Weaver....but I guess not...
Solomon
I was just wondering what Cardinals fans think of Mr. Ponson now. I'm still scratching my head as to why they released him. He was getting into the 6th inning in all of his starts. I've still not understood the reasoning behind it. One could actually argue he was pitching better than anyone else in his last three starts. goldenboy
Weaver has potential and if Dave Duncan can discipline him a little bit he could be an above .500 pitcher. He looked great in his last start. And I think something might have happened behind the scenes with Ponson. Maybe an argument with Duncan or LaRussa.
