What exactly did Clay's win over Jackson yesterday do to district standings?

I know Monterey is still unbeaten, so I guess it's:

1. Monterey

2. Clay Co.

3. Jackson Co.

4. Pickett Co.

Is there much chance of this changing before tourney? I know Dawgs and Devils won't play again, and Monterey will visit Clay. What other key games are left?

Jackson Co is 6-4, I dont know what Pickett is, but I know that it is:

1. Monterey

2. Clay Co

3. Pickett Co

4. Jackson Co.

Not sure past that, but the only way that JC can capture 3rd back from Pickett is to beat Monterey and RBS on the road this week. (because of a tie breaker, I think PC and JC have the same district W-L, and they split)

With district tournies comin up next week, whats it lookin like with everybody? I think Monterey has the edge, with Clay in second, then Jackson and Pickett with close third. What are yalls opinions

JC beat Monterey tonight!!!!!!Martin Hensley pitched an awesome game, and tyler phy finished!!!great showing from both pitchers!!!!Monterey played good also!!!!I wouldnt count either team out!!!!!On a good night both teams are capable of making it far in the post season!!!!!!

Guys, JC played just good enough to win. Neither team played well with 5 errors for JC and 8 for MHS. Don't believe that either team can brag much about anything. MHS not looking good going into next week. Congrats to Hammer, though.

District 7A title is up for grabs!

Well when the 4th place team beats the 1st place team (also undefeated in district) Im sorry but that team has the right to brag no matter how bad either team played.

Can't argue with that. Big win for the Blue Devils.

Clay--Monterey game this afternoon on the river bank pretty crucial now. My understanding is that if Bulldogs win, they will have to play Pickett tomorrow in a makeup game from Tuesday (I believe). If Monterey wins, don't know if the CCHS-PCHS game would need to be played.

Anybody know about that?

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
