ParisRiverRat
http://www.jacksonsun.com/apps/pbcs.dll/ar.../601170314/1002 The trip to Gibson Co this year will not be the same. I didn't know him personally, but he has always been the best announcer in the area. Prayers to the Gibson Co family from Martin! Not-so HeavyD
This has been very tough on the Gibson County family......Roger was the very best at what he did. He was one of the only ones left that took pride in what he did at basketball games........he will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family...........Gibson County basketball will never be the same.....

2points
He has definitely been one of the most consistent announcers in the area. I always thought he did a great job. My thoughts go out to his family and those in the Gibson Co. program.
coolview
What a tragedy for Gibson Co, District 13AA. and West TN bball. I was fortunate to know Mr. Norvell. What a class guy. By far tops among PA announcers. He's been doing it ,I know for sure, since I played for the Golden Tornadoes in the early to mid 90's. Will be missed. Our prayers do go out to his family and the GC community.
