You shouldn't get much crap from SC fans this week. I know you won't from me. TC has owned SC over the last few years. I give respect where respect is due...and earned. TC has earned it from us.

Just looking for Original, Antwan one of my SC buddies to talk a little trash with this week. You know what i'm saying? I'm really looking forward to Friday night! Never quit boys just keep on fighting.

Like I said...I haven't talked trash with TC fans in a couple of years. It's taken me a long time to get over the whuppin' we took last year. We have yet to back it up on the field. When I think we can back it up...I will talk. I really don't know what to expect Friday. Which TC team will show up? Which SC team will show up? There too much uncertainty surrounding this game.

You know Twan what bothers me the most is i don't think we've got but one team to bring and i'm not sure if that ones good enough to beat you. I'm ok with being a little down heck we're due. Just as long as the boys do'nt quit. I don't like quitters and we've got talent it's just extremely young. So not to say that we will lose friday but all i can say is get us while you can because this kinda year want come to often around here. Good luck to both teams and for goodness sake be injury free. Trust me we can't afford any more of them.

Injuries are never good for any player on any team. As far as the game, I think it's our chance to start turning this series around.

For both teams it is a chance to turn around a season, not just a chance for SC to turn around the series. Smith County has proved that they have shaken off a week 0 loss and look to keep that trend going and climb to 3-1 on their way to a deep playoff run. Trousdale County has a good football team like always, but has stumbled at the preverbial (bad spelling) starting line. Trousdale will look to score a big win trying to get back on top of things and hope it leads to another region title and hopefully gold ball. It should be a great game to watch. I said at the begining of this season i would support region 4-1a all the way so i will stick to this. Trousdale wins this in a close one 24-21.

Glover's Predictions Week 3

Smith Co. - 25

Trousdale Co. - 8

Smith Co. keeps the winning ball rolling. They have looked very well on the D side of the ball, only giving up 6 points in the last 2 games. Yes, 1 was against Jackson Co. who couldn't score on our freshman team(literaly). B) Trousdale Co. still having a tough time, but don't count them out just yet. If I remember correctly there are 4 from each region to make the playoffs. Work out your problems early and finish strong. Look at Boyd last year!!!

Good luck to both teams!!! B)

That's a good post. We'll see about the prediction. I think TC is a good football team. I know the injuries have hurt. Will TC have any of the injured players back this week? I would assume so.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
