I think William Blount tops this list hands down. William Blount is the only high school team in the state and nation that is called the governors. The only other team period that is called the governors is Austin peay and they dont count because they are a college.

I think William Blount tops this list hands down.

I was an "Original Governor". The majority of the football team wanted to be called the Raiders and we wanted our school colors to be Silver and Black. The school board didn't let us have any input at all and picked the hideous light blue and yellow orange color which was almost impossible to order in a football uniform. The first uniforms were closer to Gator colors. I'm glad you like the name, we hated it.

To my knowledge there are only 4 "Devil" teams in Tennessee.

1)Jo Byrns Red Devils

2)Germantown Red Devils ( I think)

3)White House Blue Devils

4)Greeneville Green Devils (Just learned that one)

There is a Bradford Red Devils in Gibson Co. They don't have a FB team
