Cory Jones hits a 3 at the buzzer for Lawerence County to defeat Siegal 40-38 tonight. WOW !!!!

Lincoln County defeats Cookeville 61-60 tonight. Well , the district went 1-3 tonight with Riverdale the only team to carry the torch for 7AAA. Tough luck losses for Siegal (2 points) and Cookeville (1 point), but both districts are really evenly matched and these games could have went either way as were expected. Sorry for hoggin the board tonight, but I quess everyone else was at the games.

Siegel fans and 7AAA fans, one thing you can say about 7AAA is that we play hard and we lose hard. We all wish Riverdale the best in its quest. Siegel has had a great year. it has had a great Coaching Staff and a better than great group of players. They did make it again to the regionals and it really was expected. They played the first half of the Law game as well as they have played all year and executed their plan. They fell a little short. These three seniors will be missed but they gave it their all. There are really no winners and losers eventually but a group of great young ladies have loved to play this game and please those who have watched them play during their high school years.

While some of the coaches coached their first year at Siegel, Coach Bush and Seals guided the team thru another year and this poster appreciates the effort and the commitment especially of these coaches. So there is another year and another goal to be achieved and we look forward to seeing the rest of you 7AAA teams at the next roundup.

Sorry for the results of a great Cookeville team for we expected to see them go further and as far as Lebanon is concerned, your play will be recognized in the future and all 7AAA teams appreciate your effort ALL year.

My point exactly. They run like cross country runners. Nice and steady. Not fast. You did a much better job of making my point. Thank you.

FYI, The Lawrence County team had some help from a cross country runner in helping defeat Siegel High School in the Regional Tournament. The games high scorer #15 with 15 points and some steals and who helped cause turnovers especially at the end of the game ran cross country for the LC Wildcats for 3 years. She will be playing basketball at the next level for University of Alabama Huntsville.

You can see #15's picture in the photos provided by CoachT. By the way, Thank You, CoachT for making the photos available.

PH, I have slipped up and posted one more time, but felt the need to recognize this girls athleticism before her high school basketball season ends.

That is understandable. i didn't see your posts on cross country and know you are proud of the cross country connection.
