Best running backs you've ever seen in 2AA?

Who's the best running back in 2AA that you have ever seen? The best all around back I have ever seen was Terrance Bell of Huntingdon, he was a terror in 2003. He set all kinds of records in the State title game that year. I thought he would go on to a D1 school but someone told me he played for Bethal now. Any Truth?

Terrance Bell was a great back for Huntingdon. Others from recent years that come to mind are Jonathan Shaub from Lipscomb, Maurice Haynes from Goodpasture, and Dustin Lindsey from Alcoa.

There has been so many it is almost impossible to name. A few I remember are Mario Macelrath (dont know how to spell his name) from Union City, but got in trouble and never got to play in college and the guy from Martin about 10 years ago...Cant remember his name but he was bad. Also Milan and Huntingdon has had plenty as well.

Bell does play at Bethel and he was honorable mention all-american last year, and his having another great year this year. Rod Smith from Milan was a great fullback, not the best ever, but worth mentioning.

Dustin Lindsay from Alcoa. Should have been a two time Mr. Football award winner. Tied the state record for TD's while rushing for 2,000 yards his junior season on a state championship team, and did not win. Senior year around the same stats for another state championship team but lost out to the lil guy from Huntington who was hurt for a portion of the year.

Rod Smith-74Tds and 5,174 yds in his career. His senior year he had 220 carries for 1,921 yards and 35 TDs.

 

Heard Ernest Fields was a pretty good RB in his days. Chris Donald always had some big games against us in the playoffs.

Luke Landers from CPA. SO much fun to watch!! Best player on the team (class of 2005), but probably didn't get the props he deserved. Played one year at Samford, then hung up his cleats.

I would give my nod to a guy a played with in high school Aaron Cothran from Fairview.

 

Anyone that played against him knew they had the next morning. It was a joy blocking for him at WR and seeing him go down the sideline for a score.

 

Over 2400 yards his senior year with over 30 TDs.

Sad thing is he got into trouble before his senior year and got kicked off the team
