I am going to agree with who ever said "let it all play out on the field" because that is what exactly needs to happen on friday night in the cold weather!

"Vindication"?? For vindication wouldn't you want to play Oak Ridge again? Anyway, the defending state champions are taking it one week at a time. I hope the teams and players coming up all think Ravenwood is the worst team out there...thats what Smyrna thought int he regular season as well as Gallatin in the playoffs.

 

PS: I went to the last massacre in Smyrna when our guys had played on a Thursday night. I hope Smyrna does not fold up the tents if they get a couple of scores on them early....that seemed to be the case last time.

Lincoln County getting beat twice by Riverdale this year really doesn't have anything to do with my man LC19's attempt to educate you in your post about "a team that is rolling and can not be beat". Do you have a better argument you'd like to present?

 

Which ain't to say that Riverdale won't win state this year...they certainly could do it - they are also certainly not a team that can't be beat.

It's gonna be cold tomorrow night. We need for the Riverdale fans to dress warmly and come to the game! The stands for a quarterfinal game against an outstanding team like Smyrna should be packed.

 

A few tips for the cold weather.

~ Dress in several layers of clothing so that you can put it on or take it off based on the temp. Thermals, jeans, SS tee, LS tee, sweat shirt, coat, etc...

~ Buy a warm Riverdale sweat shirt at the game--add that as a layer

~ Go by that outdoor store on the downtown square and buy some of their "smart wool" socks. You should also wear shoes.

~ Wear a hat, preferably a sock hat, bring a scarf and gloves

~ Either bring some 'hot hands' or check with the 'hot hands man' in the stadium.

~ bring a blanket, preferably a poncho liner from the army surplus or Cav store.

~ bring a stadium seat or another blanket to sit on. Don't sit on that cold metal.

~ be active, jump up and down, make noise, yell at the refs, walk around at halftime.

 

Follow all of these tips and you'll be warm and toasty. You'll also help create an atmosphere to push our guys on to a big win.

 

It's the biggest game of the season...it's here!!!
