Goodpasture will do the same. People think that Goodpasture overlooks people and such to be honest with you Goodpasture doesnt worry about the other team so much as they do their own game. Goodpasture wants to go out and do they best they can every play every game. The outcome is the outcome whatever it may be.

O yea my prediction. I think Goodpasture will be able to bust runs around the edge and have big plays. I also dont think that Milan will be able to consistently move the ball on Goodpasture.

Goodpasture 28

Milan 7

I agree that Goodpasture is a great team and Milan will have their hands full Friday night. But dont ever forget that the Milan Bulldogs are made up of local hometown kids. The same cannot be said of Goodpasture which tightropes that fine line between Division I and Division II schools. The TSSAA needs to create another Division for schools that recruit but do not provide financial aid in the same way that Schools Like Brentwood Academy do. We fought to develop a Division for Brentwood and succeeded and I feel sure that schools like Goodpasture, CPA, etc. will have a Division of their own especially after the new playoff scenario for Class 2A begins next year and falls flat on its face amid controversy.

GO DAWGS!!!!!

GOOD. i would rather you plan on beating us than plan for your "they should be in division II complaints" after you lose.

just remeber all good champions want a true competitor, and to be the best you have to beat the best.

IF we loose, rest assured i wont use any "should have" anything complaints. Goodpasture is the competition at hand this friday so whatever the outcome it is in our hands. I couldn't agree more with your last statement. Goodpasture is a very good team and IF we loose, there will be no shame in it because our boys will play with everything they have. May the best team win. (actually i want milan to win reguardless of who is better.) Yall have a safe drive to Milan friday, and a good turkey day tommorrow. I might try to go watch practice.

whether we win or lose doesnt alter the fact that Goodpasture should be in a class with other schools that attain their players in a similar fashion. We have beaten the best that class 2A has offered so far in the playoffs. But then, none of those schools recruit.

I want to hear myself. Dont worry. Just a matter of time before they close this thread or kick me off as they have done in the past. Thank you moderators for letting me speak. This will be all for now.

The last thread got closed because of this same conversation. Now everyone has an opinion on the matter, including myself. However, lets just agree that one side is not going to change the other's mind regardless of what they say to each other. The fact of the matter is that Milan plays Goodpasture at Johnnie Hale this friday for a chance to go to the Burro. Regardless of enrollment or multipliers or transfers or records. The only thing that matters is this game. Milan is the underdog, but i think they have a decent shot. Their underdog status won't deter them at all. Everyone just needs to prepare for a hard hitting game this Friday

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
