LadyFbFan
Special Teams. Hillsboro has not kicked a field goal during the play offs and the punting yards are not very impressive at all. During the Play offs the punting is 5 for 78 yards. That's like 15.6 yards a punt! Not a field position factor there IMO. The PAT kickers have been solid but having to kick a clutch FG during a state game having not done it during the play-offs could be a huge factor. Maryville's kicking game is solid ant the FG kicker has been good beyond 45 yards on a regular basis. There will also be no kick off run backs unless GQ wants it to be so because Maryville's Kyoano (SP) put's the ball in the end zone on nearly every kick. Hillsboro's field goal kicker did kick a successful field goal near the end of the first half in the Henry Co. game. A flag was thrown against Henry Co. Instead of keeping the points, Hillsboro decided to go for it. That is probably why a field goal does not show in the stats.

Champ man
Have not seen Hillsboro but everything I hear resembles Maryville, who I have seen 3 times this year, particularly on offense, run or pass with good skilled players. That will probaly help prepare both defensively in practice. I bet this one will be good for T.V. ratings!

thatguy87
hillsboro may have a better team than maryville, but their coach doesnt even compare to GQ. he has already ended 2 undefeated seasons and i believe hillsboro will be the next. otherside21
lemme catch up: 1. it just adds up to more wins and skews the data (I perceive that you took it that way) with the converse being true for Hillsboro beating some winless teams or partially, i basically meant hillsboro and maryville are the 2 best teams in the state and they would have both beaten any other team in their way, whether they were 13-0 or 9-4. The other two impact receivers are Gordon and Jordan, both barely 6-0 and not really the fastest WR's around. During the play offs Garrett was 12-218 with only 3 tds, Gordon 17-329 with 2 TDs and Jordan was 6-70 no TD and during two games did not catch a ball. corey jordan is a solid 6'0 maybe 6'1 and actually has 7 catches for 100 and 2 scores in the playoffs, jus read the preview on this site. and eric gordon runs a 4.4 and jordan a 4.5, i know you have maples but those are good #'s. gordon is probly more like 5'10-5'11. in addition gordon is probly one of the best cover corners in the state. by the way, theyre both sophomores. sorry to be so critical but was surprised u would make a comment on their speed like that with limited knowledge of our team. our kicking/punting game is weak, but has not been a problem thus far, although im sure it could come into play with a team like maryville. and arent has been sacked quite a few times but again hasnt played much of a factor. like some have said he gets right back up.
