I respect Allen's game. His size and ability are hard to find, he is a very big guard who can play the guard position well. While he causes a lot of matchup problems for opposing defense, I still think there are better players out there in the state of Tennessee, and thats with no disrespect to Allen. I will still say that Maurice Miller is the best player in the state of Tennessee.

MJ Brown from Union City. He doesn't always have the spectacular numbers every game, but one must consider the amount of playing time he is getting. Union City is loaded with talent, and I think MJ has shown that he continues to be a proven leader. He showed everyone last year at the 'Boro what he could do as a sophomore. Thanks Coacht for this thread.

Totally Agree!! During the Humboldt game at their gym, had to play every minute due to others in foul trouble and with the style of play UC play at still had the legs to make the 3's when need as well as his Free Throws.

I agree but who knows-- if Allen continues to carry Oakland and R-E somehow begins to slip or Miller gets injured...you never know what could happen.

MJ Brown in A.....MJ can do almost everything, and he's only a junior....He's clearly one of the best players on the best team in the state.....

Jewaun Long or Josh Sain from Liberty.....They're the two best players on this team...And are leading their team to national rankings...

Mo Miller from RE....Mo can take over a game at any time....And he keeps his grades high....It also helps that he will be going to Georgia Tech...

AAA-Maurice Miller (Raleigh Egypt)

AA-Josh Slater (David Lipscomb)

A-MJ Brown (Union City)

DivisionII- Brandon Brown (Brentwood Academy)

I agree with everyone except for AA. I think you have to include Jewaun Long, and my underdog pick Ken Bingham. Ken Bingham doesn't have a great team, he is the team. McNairy Central wins because of him. He means more to that team than Long or Slater means to theirs. 12-AA is the best AA district in the state and Ken Bingham is the best player in that district. Long is good player, as is Sain, Slater, and Reggie Bomar. But, Ken Bingham would star for any team.

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
