frankieD12
QUOTE(GCPioneer @ Mar 6 2007 - 08:29 PM) 826402847DC would beat Humboldt rather easily IMO...DC has better guards and their post play strong...only advantage Humboldt would have would be size really? that's what you said about union city beating us too...im glad DC has justin blake and crittendon...but humboldt would win that game by 8 at dyer county...for the past 3 years humboldt has been known for winning...for the past 3 years of dyer county on the other hand, they MIGHT have a .500 record combined considering they only won 6 games combined in the past 2 years...but this is a HUMBOLDT VS. WARTBURG topic...so we can argue about matchups of teams if someone would open another topic about it...

EastTnCoachTeach
Im picking Wartburg in this game. Wartburg has a lot of size and it will play a factor. Tyler Winsted, Travis Nelson, & Rogers will have a big game. Wartburg wins it in overtime with a nelson shot. Wartburg 84 Humboldt

Boxanone
QUOTE(Gerry Bertier @ Mar 6 2007 - 03:09 AM) 826401717Humboldt in a rout. It isn't fair how dominate the West is. Well Ma'am we will try to keep up. I am sure you have some dominating teams out west. We don't really visit out there much unless the Vols gotta play there. East Tennessee is a great place to live and we like to play football here except at Central (that is what we call Wartburg if you hear that you will know). Our football will get better though. I hope we can just compete with Humboldt. Our boys are not afraid of much so we shall see.

Humboldt-85 Wartburg-58 Humboldt has big solid size...Derek Sain=STRONG,ATHLETIC,BIG,TALL...also expect to see a dunk or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 by this guy...every game I've seen Humboldt play this year he has had people hanging all over him and still able to rattle the rim... E.J. Epperson=TALL,LENGTHY,CAN PLAY DEFENSE...should get the Humboldt guards some open looks as I figured Wartburg would try and clog up the lanes and make Humboldts guards win it... GOOD LUCK TO HUMBOLDT!!!! THE WEST IS EXPECTING SOME GOLD!!!
floridagirl
QUOTE(goosevol @ Mar 6 2007 - 01:46 AM) 826401714Wartburg will run-and-gun with anyone. They might night be as good as Humboldt, but they won't change their style at this point. Shannon is 6'6" and I know he's scored 30 or more in at least nine of their past 14 games. He hit 46 twice and 40 once during that stretch. What makes D.J. so dangerous is that he's a good 3-point shooter and he can also put back the garbage in the paint. Winstead is 6'7" maybe 6'8" and is a true post. He's a good shot blocker and rebounder. He's not the focal point of a running offense, but he's capable of 20 points because of his size and soft touch around the basket. Bunch is a quick point guard who can drive and also ht the three. Rogers and Nelson are scoring threats on the wings. Nelson is pretty good off the dribble while Rogers is pretty strong around the basket. Both are also above average three-point shooters. Guys like Brown, Hamby, Kidd, Griffith bring a lot of energy Wartburg's strength is they have so many scorers and they usually try to beat you in a high scoring game. All that being said, this is Wartburg's first trip to Murfreesboro and this is East vs. West. Humboldt will be a solid double-digit favorite, but Wartburg is a dangerous team. Good luck Bulldogs. Good post but I would'nt be giving so much info!!!!!

Humboldt-85 Wartburg-58 hey buddy just to inform you a lil....we must not be that bad or we would not be goin to the 'boro.... so you prolly need to just shut up right now and not make yourself look anymore stupid than you have... that score prediction was so ignorant.....hey im not saying we are going to blow them out of the water nor win for that matter but i bet you this it WILL be a great CLOSE game that EITHER team could WIN!!!!!!
