Maryville wanted some compensation for the advertisments shown during the game. CSS was not able to do that. You could very well see both teams on another provider. unapproved website will have both of those teams on. The scedule is up I just don't remember when they are playing.

If you happen to see that Unapproved wbsite/HD schedule for this season coupld you please hook us up. So far, I have only been able to locate the MoWest/Catholic game for week zero. Sorry. Also, did the "compensation for advertisements" issue come up w/the Mville/Central game for 10/5? Thanks.

I agree. Maryville/ Alcoa is one of the best games of the year and it is a great way to start off the season. This is a shame!

It wasn't a Blount county thing. Maryville's AD (Thompson) wanted CSS to donate 1,000 the the school's general scholarship fund. CSS couldn't afford to do that and didn't come to Maryville. This year's game is at Alcoa.

What game are they showing the night Alcoa and Maryville play? Must be a awful good match-up.

The Nashville schedule in 2006 had alot of strange match-ups also.

 

 

 

 

I looked at the schedule. Fulton and Oak Ridge is a great game also.

The Maryville game is at Central so it was Central's choice. Actually the Home school has to agree with it. They are the ones that have to make room, let CSS come in early and set up. The visiting school has no say in it.

Thankyou. Appreciate all you guys do over @ Unapproved for the kids. This is great for SD, Wartburg, Heritage, and perhaps some of the other "needs to be fianlized" games/teams. Really nice balance between what you and CSS are doing relative to exposure.

This is true, he said the same thing to channel 7 (tony basilio) as well. there really is not enough room at Alcoa anyway. Last years fulton game was tough in the box with all the press and 2 tv broadcasts, radio etc....maybe soon we could get permanent bleachers on the visitors side with another press box. as always the games will be on charter channel 3 the following day. besides the maryville game there is really not another Alcoa game that would warrant showing on live tv.
