Knox West v. Halls

Boy am I glad that Coach Julian doesn't read these message or if he does he does not do what many of you were suggesting about 6-7 weeks ago. "Scrap the wing-t and open up the attack", "get more wide recievers in the game to take some of the pressure off Dayton". Do you think for just a second that maybe Coach and his staff know a thing or two about coaching? Leave alone and jump on the wagon WITH them.

Well, it appears to me that they're still doing those same plays but a lot of different formations makes that stuff harder to defend. I might be wrong, but it sure looks like they've found more ways to "mess" with the defense and get good matchups both running and throwing. They might not throw it for 200 yards, but everyone knows they got 2 or 3 receivers out their who CAN go the distance so they have to respect that.

West has 'NO' defense, not sure if its lack of talent, coaching, scheme or combination. There tackling is as bad as you'll find in H.S. football. Very average team due to its awful 'D'. There 'O' can be strong but does make mistakes that prove costly. West has been the same for years, always has athletes but finds ways to lose big games - just seem to underachieve year after year. Will be fortunate to be in playoffs.

I think that is only partly true. I think their defense isn't up to last years standards. But our OL has been playing very well the last few games and Kitts and Waggoner has found big holes and punished both West and Gibbs.

West have limited Sevier Co. to 14 points and Bearden our next game to only 17 points. So I think it could be our OL that has more to do with the scoring trend the last game and the Gibbs game too.

The pride of Halls the offensive line. Dominating teams this year. Why so many big plays? Check the film the Line is opening running lanes my grandma could run through.

Boy, it sure is good to see that. Caleb Leonard (sp?) sure does look like a man among boys out there. Is he getting any looks yet? I know he's just a junior, but it's about that time I would think. It also appears to me that Wes Kitts is finally learning how to run the football. We've all known he has the break away speed, and he's not all that small either, but anyways, it just seems like he's starting to get a real good feel of what's going on in front of him.

The last I heard was that he had received letters from at least four D 1 schools. He impressed some folks during the summer and is continuing to do so during the season.

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
