Should be a close game. Collinwood is better than Wayne Co and just by seeing the score Mt. P did not just dominate Wayne Co, therefore this could be a close game. I am picking Collinwood in a shoot out. The problem with Collinwood is their defense but if they can pull that together then they have a chance.

huh u flat out stupid...cwood is not better than w/c... mount pleasent 49 cwood 18

Sounds like Wayne County just fell apart last night. I think Wayne County takes second place in this region. Collinwood has played a very weak schedule thus far with the only quality opponent being Moore County which they narrowly beat by one point. This game will get ugly if Mt. Pleasant plays like they are capable of playing. I'm gonna pick MP to win it by 20 points.

Not very mature to call someone stupid on a message borard..... /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Marco will not beat Collinwood by himself so MP will lose a close shootout.....

Well, well. The time is here for all the mud slinging. It is a long trip to the wood, but that is the hardest thing the tigers will have to face friday night. 1st c'ville came to knock us out (ha) then the boro thought they could (oh well) now the wood will get a shot (lol). We will be and are the REG. 6 A CHAMPS. These teams think just because they are up in the ranks they can be on the same field as mTp. /wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" /> I will give the wood there due, they have been & are a close 2nd best team in reg. 6 for now. They should provide a good practice for mTp's trip to the big "boro". /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> OK, now for real. Should be a great & close game with the tigers up by 14 or more. /unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
